Jeff Lloyd’s (of @theheavypets ) epic guitar solo on “The Stranger” by Barely Joel, Billy Joel tribute! VAM Jam recorded live at Crazy Uncle Mike’s on 06/24/2026! 🎸 this was one of climax moments of the show! wasn’t familiar with the song going in, but it has become one of my favorites!

Last night I had the honor of sharing the bandstand with my longtime teacher and mentor, John Michalak. John is a world-class musician, and I’m very grateful to have been learning from him since I first met him as a young teenager. This was seriously one of the most fun gigs I’ve ever played!

A special thank you to Mike Kolber for putting this show together at @allthatjazzsouthflorida featuring Jim Petullo on piano and Brandon Lee Lewis on drums. It’s always a pleasure making music with such fantastic musicians!
