4years ago I crumbled. My mom died suddenly, my son lost his way and was locked up, my daughter tried to take her life and was sent away to a treatment program and my leg gave away. After a simple medical procedure, I was diagnosed with #complexreginalpainsyndrome a rare and extremely painful neurological disease.
Orange is the color chosen for #crpsawareness 🧡
I found my way through the hardest of times with #knitting and #intentionally choosing how I embraced each day.
As I was knitting myself together, I went looking for the perfect orange yarn and here I have found it @madelinetosh #gglovesorange

I love morning and the possibilities that come with each new day.
The familiar sound of a fire being stoked and the smell of coffee and mountain air.
I have given my sticks and string a rest, focusing on the love and light around me, I give thanks.
❄️
I miss my knitting, wondering how long it takes tendinitis to heal. They say I must be still, something I have not yet mastered. The art of stillness, beauty in a form of understanding my limitations. I am restless.

I have learned many things from my mother, but in her passing, I learned that you can’t take it with you. I have spent this year using all the things.
I had a stash of Pendleton wool scraps gifted to me from my little cousin in Washington. I have stashed this fabric for 6 years or so. No more stashing the good stuff. I will use it to bring joy to others. Family loved their new “Mima Made” Christmas stockings.

My Aunt Josephine (Toots) was a master quilt maker. She had an amazing collection of quilts tucked away from the depression era. I never saw her use them.
My mom was known for gifting quilts for graduation, weddings and warmth to the homeless living in the mountains and on riverbanks.
I am not seeking perfection, meaningful gifts and life ways make me feel connected. This is a welcome gift to my grand baby, due 7/23/2020.
Second picture is zoom baby shower gifting and love from those who could not be here.
