AVEM heads to Houston 🤠
It screens TODAY Saturday, March 21st at 4:45PM as part of the “Lucha Contra el Poder” (Fight Against Power) shorts block of the @houstonlatinofilmfestival at @matchouston

A film about immigration, the weight of displacement, and the emotional violence of systems that decides who belongs and who doesn’t, feels right at a program centered around resistance. Deeply meaningful to be programmed for a shorts block with such a name.

Honored to be part of the Houston Latino Film Festival this year.

AVEM screens at the @sdlatinofilmfestival this Thursday March, 19th at 9:15pm at the AMC Mission Valley 20 @amctheatres as part of the “Un Mundo Extraño: Sci-Fi, Acción y Más!” Program.

Grateful to continue this journey with a festival that has championed Latinx cinema for over three decades. This film was born from a place of grief, a sense of displacement, and an ache to transform — and it means a lot to share it in a city that understands those layers deeply.
San Diego, see you there!

Extra special to be screening alonside KO 🔥 directed by @6superfabs9 @reservafilms 🍿❤️‍🔥

AVEM flying into Los Angeles! 🐦🪽🎥
Happy to announce our LA premiere at Screamfest in its 25th anniversary THIS SUNDAY October 12 at 11:45AM at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.

We fully shot this film in LA with a complete crew of LA artists so I’m so excited to finally screen it in what many of us now call home.

Hope to see you there!

Logline: Struggling with a deep loss and feeling disconnected from his home country while abroad, a young man begins to have a body transformation as he longs for a life of freedom.
