when approached on this piece for the innovative bipoc queer focused @thedollhousemag i wanted to encapture the otherworldliness, paradisiacal and revitalizing perspective that sapphic based love can bring…moments of limerence and strong devotion that can transport you and a lover into another world. a feeling that can be hard to find especially when walking the earth as a black and queer woman. a place of solace and belonging in giving yourself to love between oneself and a special person. i also wanted to carry over maximalist elements to express these fleeting moments of joy, overthinking, appreciation, uncertainty, hopes and dreams, and the birthing of a whole new reality and era that can be found when sharing yourself with another person! i hope that makes sense and that it can be felt <3

forever grateful again for this blessed opportunity to create this artwork for dollhouse so be sure to keep your eyes out these next few weeks for when the magazine drops!! profits go towards the artists, the team as well as 10% of profits going towards organizations tackling disparities faced in Sudan @nasalsudan, Congo @focuscongo and Palestine @gazamutualaid.

Ay veces en que me cuestiono si realmente estoy siguiendo el camino correcto en mi vida.
Si es que no debería haber dedicado tiempo a una carrera más tradicional, o quizás haber buscando un trabajo con un puesto y horarios fijos.

Los días en que el síndrome del impostor dentro de mi está despierto esos intrusos pensamientos se vuelven constantes. Sin embargo, me he dado cuenta que a pesar de que el camino que escogí puede ser más difícil es el que me llena el corazón.

Sin duda hay veces en donde me toca hacer trabajo que no me gusta (como en todos los trabajos) pero ver cómo poco a poco se van vislumbrando las metas que me he planteado y que dentro de mi siempre las he visto brillantes me llena de alegría.

Con todo esto voy a que no se me puede olvidar que soy la #PROtagonista de mi vida, y la historia que mis actos van escribiendo es para mi.

Es por eso que esta comunidad que he creado junto a ustedes a pesar de ser pequeñita me motiva a seguir, no solo es el vestigio de mi trabajo, sino también de todo lo que logro y le propongo.
