Pacific Rock Moss fans, meet Pacific Rock Swell.

Richer. Deeper. A different expression of the ocean.

Created to celebrate ten years of Goldfield & Banks, this 30% extrait de parfum takes that familiar coastal freshness into darker, more textured territory.

Perfumer Leonardo Lucheze opens with bright bergamot, cardamom and aromatic clary sage. Seaweed and resinous labdanum bring depth through the heart, before Australian sandalwood, patchouli and ambergris shape the finish.

It starts bright. Then it draws you deeper.

Last night, Pacific Rock Swell headlined the Webster & Carr Winter Deck launch at Say When in Gosforth, with exclusive first access here in the North East.

That was a proud moment for us. Bringing a launch of this calibre to our region, sharing its story and watching our guests discover it on their own skin meant a great deal.

At Webster & Carr, every fragrance earns its place. We wear it, explore it and personally recommend it. You get a carefully chosen collection and the guidance to find something that feels like you.

Thank you to Goldfield & Banks, Say When and everyone who joined us. You made an important night feel properly special.

Shop Pacific Rock Swell through the link in our bio, or visit us in Gosforth or Metrocentre to experience it on your skin.

Webster & Carr. Your North East destination for niche perfumery.

📍 @saywhenbars

One of our favourite little bars located on Gostforth High Street. Small plates and wine, the perfect combo 🙌🏼

Highly recommend their truffle gnocchi. Iykyk 😍🤤

📍Say when, Ponteland

I’ve been wanting to try @saywhenbars ever since I drove past them a couple months ago so @baitguide and I went to check out the self-pour wines 🍷
•
There’s an extensive selection to choose from so I appreciated the little tasting cards that told you a bit more about the drinks which helped me decide!
•
Nothing is better shared over wine than a cheeseboard and this one comes in at only £15.95 which I think is great value and plenty for two people. The only thing that was missing for me was some chilli jam but I am a self confessed chilli jam fiend! 🌶️
•
Really great friendly service and I’d definitely be back to try some more of the menu 🍷

📍 Say When, Ponteland

I’ve been waiting to try @saywhenbars since it opened earlier this year in the building previously occupied by YOLO.

Myself and a friend shared the cheeseboard which was the perfect size for two!

🧀 Cheddar, Brie, Stilton & Parmesan shavings served with an accompaniment of olives, cornichons, sweet onion chutney, crackers and flatbread!

We paired the board with a. Couple of glasses of 50ml tasting size glasses of wine from the extensive self-serve wine wall 🍷

Next time I’ll have to order the hassle back potatoes from their small plates menu as they looked and smelled 🤤

Girls’ night, upgraded 🥂

No waiting around, just pick your wine, tap your card, and pour! It’s the best way to sample new flavors or head straight for full glasses of your go-to favorites. Pair it all with small plates and you’ve got the ultimate girls’ night out.

It feels like today marks the unofficial end of summer… which feels slightly strange after spending most of it complaining about the 40-degree heat. 😂☀️

Looking back though, it’s been a pretty special one.

My youngest finally joining his big brother at school (a huge, slightly emotional landmark moment.) Beach days and ridiculously fresh, delicious food on the Isle of Wight. Family time up North, exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline and even spotting dolphins 🐬. Woodland walks, den building and kids disappearing into the trees for hours.

We scattered Dad’s ashes at his favourite lake spot on his birthday, with my siblings — one of those moments that was both incredibly sad and incredibly special.

There were endless BBQs with friends, country breaks, reunions with old friends, far too many late-night garden chats (often because it was simply too hot to go inside!), and somehow finding time to create a new salmon roulade/dip/recipe obsession along the way. 😂

I’ve squeezed in as much contrast therapy as possible, spent a lot more time swimming and finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with my front crawl. 🏊‍♀️

And in between it all, we’ve been testing out a Range Rover vs Defender… and I’m officially stuck. 👀 If you’ve had either, which one would you choose?

A summer of big milestones, little moments, good food, family, friends, grief, laughter, fresh air, cold plunges, long chats and a lot of memories made.

And after all that complaining about the heat… I’m actually a little sad to see you go. ❤️

But then again… autumn is in my DNA. 🍂 I’m a Libra after all. ⚖️✨

So, September… I’m ready!

Self-serve wine… future or fad? 🍷

I tried it at Say When in Gosforth and I’m firmly in the “I get it” camp.

I really like being able to take my time looking through the wines without feeling rushed into choosing, and the fact you can pick how much you want including 50ml tasting measures is probably my favourite part because you could easily choose a few different wines and make your own little wine flight.

We’re starting to see self-serve wine bars pop up more often now, and I can see why. It makes trying something new feel much easier, especially if you don’t want to commit to a full glass.

But what do you think… self-serve wine: future or fad? 🍷
