Your belt doesn’t protect your spine. 🛑

It gives your abs something to push against. That builds pressure inside your trunk, and that pressure is what keeps you stable under heavy load.

Here’s how to use it properly:
✅ Snug, not strangling
✅ Breathe into your belly, 360 degrees
✅ Brace like you’re about to take a punch
✅ Hold, lift, exhale at the top

Save it for your heavy sets (around 80% and up) so your own bracing stays strong. And pick a 10 or 13mm belt with uniform width all the way round.

I’m a nurse and a coach, so I care about lifting heavy and staying injury-free. 💪

As a girl with a lot of sensory dilemmas including
- can’t taste foods with headphones on
- cannot listen to chalk on a whiteboard
- have to always be chewing something instead of fidgeting
- can’t snatch in shorts as the bar gives me a rash 😂

Getting my nails stuck under SBDs trying to put them on = gives me the ICK 🤮

But they’re so good for squats compared to thin knee sleeeves so this is how I get them on easily.

I always wear tights and make sure they’re tucked into my socks so I dont accidentally make them capris either 😂
