Being part of a youth-led festival at The Glade brought a truly wholesome, electric energy to every aspect of what makes a good time a good time. From workshops, sauna ceremonies and live music to yoga and sound baths, there was plenty of space to have fun, connect and unwind.

Alongside this, the festival created space for meaningful conversation through an assembly where we got in groups and talked openly about the challenges we face and the resources and spaces we need to feel happy, healthy and supported in today’s time.

People travelled from Totnes, Plymouth and as far as Norwich to join the conversation. What struck me most was how much we were all on the same page, there was a shared desire for greater connection, community and spaces for young people both in Totnes and on a wider scale, to other communities that need it too.

After watching Hidden Coves perform, while leaving the glade, I left with a real sense of momentum and possibility that these conversations could be the beginning of creating dedicated third spaces for young people here, shaped by young people themselves.

Check out our fundraiser event on 17th August where we’ll be raising funds to keep regular events for young people in Totnes coming! Link in bio!

Thank you to all of the people and organisations that brought this event together! @circlewisecic @sovereignnetworkgroup @totnestrust @totnesassembly @the.somewhere.sauna, the musicians, workshop leaders, cooks, volunteers, artists and every young person that came and participated in the day, making it what it was.

And thank you to Izy @gallery.isabel and Seb @sbj_visuals for these beautiful pics and helping us capture the day!

🧶💚 If you were to describe the WoolFest Buckfastleigh 2025 in one word, what would it be?

ANOTHER YEAR OF BEING A SILLY GUY IN A SILLY BAND! @obviousreasonsband

My mate @bosscassuk does this thing called END OF YEAR UGLIES and I wanna join in but couldn’t find many “uglies” so instead I’ve gone for MY SILLIES!

So these pictures aren’t exactly my favourite pictures- they’re just all the times that photographers caught being a goofy guy or just going straight GOBLIN MODE‼️ (Mostly just silly faces and silly stances)

Amazing to see two Ospreys at Dawlish Warren a couple of days ago.

Ospreys spend the winter in West Africa and some around the coast of Spain. They migrate north to Europe to breed. We have approx. 240 breeding pairs (bto data) in the UK most in Scotland and some scattered across the country at sites like Poole Harbour and Rutland Water. Some Ospreys can be seen on South Coast estuaries in the spring stocking up on fish en route to their breeding grounds.
