[Recap] This wedding reception at the @cityclubofbatonrouge was definitely a great one celebrating this awesome couple. Beautiful couple, fun crowd, and classic venue was the recipe for a perfect evening.

Always a pleasure to work with @belleamourweddings , @sbjamesphotography and also with @forage_br and her beautiful florals.

“Tim and Mariana’s story begins in Haiti October 10, 2020. Both (not knowing each other) went on the same vision trip to Haiti to help out with a nonprofit organization that Tim’s family is over. Now, Mariana arrived a day before Tim did and was out in the town at the time that Tim arrived at the house the group was staying at. Their first encounter with each other seemed to be like a scene taken out of a movie. When Mariana got back to the house, she went looking for Tim’s sister Lauren who was in charge of this specific trip to ask her a question. So, Mariana went to Lauren’s room and started knocking on the door, little did she know that knock would change their lives forever.

On the other side of the door was Tim who just got to the house from the airport trying to change into different clothes. He hears someone knocking at the door saying “Lauren, Lauren are you in there” Tim not knowing who it is just replies “No she’s not in here” but apparently the person behind the door didn’t hear because there was another knock at the door with the same question “Lauren, are you in there”. So Tim, in mid-change, had to quickly pull up his pants and go to the door because the person behind the door couldn’t hear him, Tim decided to just go and open the door before who ever it was decided to just storm in. The door opens and there Tim is still shirtless leaning on the door saying “Hey, sorry, but Lauren isn’t in here, I’m Tim - her brother”.

During the the rest of the trip, they both showed interest in each other, but not telling each other verbally until after they got back. Two months after getting back from Haiti Tim asked Mariana to got out with him having their first day at coffee call eating beignets. For the first 7 months of their relationship, they lived in separate states until Mariana moved to Baton Rouge to be closer. Almost a year later, Tim proposed to Mariana on a trip in Hawaii and now here they are!”

Two years ago during uncertain times under threat of stormy skies, God held back the rain and shined a beautiful light on two of our own and gave them the most perfect wedding day. Jackson is our founder’s son and Megan is a Sentimental Petal Designer who we hired on their second date! We aren’t supposed to have a favorite couple but we kinda do. Congratulations, you two!
