what an honor it is to spend 4 years studying what i love!

i’ve always had tunnel vision when it comes to my dreams. all i knew was that i wanted to create for a living. my certainty has guided every step.

@scaddotedu was the ONLY school i applied to

during my time there, i’ve had the privilege to work amongst beautiful and talented people, travel, lead, and grow both as an artist and person.

saturday, may 30th i graduated summa cum laude with a B.F.A in illustration with a minor in sneaker design from savannah college of art and design.

one day you’ll see my work everywhere

thank you to my mom, my professors, my friends and everyone along the way

when you surrender to your heart, you will always succeed <3

Your most whimsical pair, please! 🌼👟🫧 Adrienne Archuleta (B.F.A. Illustration) is sketching with sole at SCAD, bringing immersive and fantastical designs to reality.

As founder + president of @scadsnkr, she leads workshops and industry-driven collaborations on site at SCAD. Now, alongside professor Quintin Williams, she’s developing an editorial magazine featuring sneakers produced in class. Stay tuned. 👀

// SNKR FALL 2025: What an amazing group of sneaker design students. So proud and excited for them and the other students coming in the near future.

It’s been a full circle moment for me as professor to have the opportunity to give knowledge and expertise back to those who want it.

I remember the days of being a student at SCAD and being eager to learn more about this industry but the resources at that time just weren’t abundant enough.

Thank you @scaddotedu for allowing me to share my passion. Excited to see how the program grows over the years to come.

Luxury, Utility, Innovation—I never would have thought I’d be a sneaker designer but here we are. Thank you to @q_designs for teaching me the craft and giving me the tools, also for all the work you do behind the scenes on our behalf. Thank you to @kx_lab for helping bring my vision to life. Thank you to @scaddotedu for offering this program and for giving us the opportunity to work with the factory and have an actual prototype. // What A Journey 🦞: This special footwear project involved a 1/100,000,000 lobster named Haddie and talented group of students to design a limited release of sneakers that would help fund Marine Conservation efforts via @captainplanetfdn and the remainder of funds given back to @scaddotedu scholarships to help fund the futures of incredible designers.

The goal of this sneaker was to speak towards sustainable design via modularity to help consumers utilize one model and to be able to transform, customize, and to wear it multiple variations.

The construction is completely glueless. The knit upper is made from recycled yarns (95% Nylon + 5% Spandex).

The clear tooling and forefoot shell is 3D printed TPU for durability and removable to mimic the molting life cycle of a lobsters shell as it grows.

The straps are removable and customizable - inspired by the lobster bands used to protect the lobsterman from their powerful grips while processing. Used and designed here for midfoot containment.

The gaiter is waterproof and removable to aid in water protection for the knit upper when needed - inspired by the bib pant suits the lobsterman wear while out to sea.

Lastly, the Tabi Toe constructed knit upper + 3D printed PU insole combination gives you the option to wear independently as a Japanese Geta Sandal for those lazy, cozy days. 🌊
