POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As the season changes, it’s time to welcome in the cosier moments.

Autumnal walks, cosy pubs with fires and evenings spent with family and friends.

There’s just as much to love about an autumn holiday in Falmouth.

Oyster Festival weekend has been and gone, and what a lovely weekend it was. With great live music, incredible local food stalls and a wonderful atmosphere, it’s always such a highlight of the season.

We hope everyone who joined in had a lovely time, and we’re already looking forward to next year.

I’ve spent a little time today going through these photos and, honestly… WOW.
What a journey it’s been. 🥹

These are 49 memories from our Chat & Eat Night adventures, from 2014 – 2026. Looking back at them has made me realise just how much I/ Potluck Cornwall has achieved.

And this is only one part of the story. These photos don’t include all the Supper Clubs, Foraging Adventures, Bring & Share Potlucks, Host-a-Roasts, Feast Nights, food-related movie nights, cookery classes, collaborations and all the other food-fuelled adventures we’ve created along the way.

Fourteen years of living in Cornwall and I've eaten a heck of a lot of sensational food. 😂🍴

And, I’m incredibly proud to say, a whole lot of return business brought to Cornwall’s wonderful independent hospitality industry along the way.

What makes me proudest is why Potluck Cornwall started in the first place.
It was never just about going out for a meal.
It started predominantly from a desire to help tackle loneliness and isolation, to create spaces where people could turn up, sit around a table with strangers and leave having shared good food, stories, belly laughed and made a new friend or two.

And 49 Chat & Eat Nights later, that still gives me the biggest buzz. I’m so proud of what I’ve built, but I absolutely couldn’t have done it without you.
Every person who has booked a ticket, brought a friend, came along on their own, supported an event, shared a post, recommended Potluck to someone else or simply kept showing up, thank you. 🥰

You’ve helped make this little idea into something much bigger than I ever imagined. So here’s to Chat & Eat No.50 @konabar_ …and then, of course, the next 50 adventures.

I wonder where we’ll end up next…🍜😉

Yesterday I had a cheeseboard at @scarlet_wines in Falmouth.

This arrived with an unusual selection of cheese: Herb Gouda, Cornish Blue and Chilli Brie. They were all absolutely gorgeous and exceptional quality slices of cheese. They came out with Spanish quince jelly and sweet olive oil tortas, the latter in which I have never tried and was thoroughly impressed with as they really were quite sweet 😃

Falmouth Carnival was an absolute joy to watch! A great event celebrating our wonderful community and the brilliant local businesses that make Falmouth so special.

Falmouth Week is upon us, with some incredible events on the programme and with a heatwave on the way, we’re in for a fantastic week!

6 months of Falmouth Wine Club!
It’s officially 6 months since we shared the details of our first event. We started the wine club as a way to create a community all about wine; drinking wine, talking about wine, sharing wine. What we didn’t expect is just how much fun we’d have along the way! We’ve got loads more ideas in the pipeline, but for now, to our community, our collaborators, and our OG VIP members (you know who you are!) thank you for all of the support! Here’s to the next 6 months!

A little glimpse into one of my recent projects with Scarlet Wines 🍷

It was a really interesting experience capturing the atmosphere, details and character of this beautiful independent venue. I especially enjoyed creating natural, cinematic images that show not only the space, but also the feeling of being there.

Thank you for trusting me with this project. I’d love to work on more creative hospitality projects like this in the future.

PULPO A LA GALLEGA 🐙

Our take on a traditional northern Spanish dish of octopus, potatoes and smoked paprika, made here with Cornish octopus and served with a house herb dressing for extra vibrancy

Enjoy with a refreshing glass of slightly spritzy Txakoli available on our wine list 🥂
