A flood of emails for Bandcamp Friday!
Here's another pebble for the dam —
This is the tape I was performing on several occasions this summer, but do check out the whole albums too! Still in Portugal, more news later when the noise settles.

Hugs,

„what happened in the hayloft“ with @aurelviolas is out now via @scatterarchive and available on Bandcamp. It has been a beautiful experience creating this album with Aurel.

It has been mixed and mastered by Martin Siewert and features gorgeous artwork by @alicecherie that ties the whole thing together.

As we said in the liner notes: Come, take a look.

Dear friends,
A new release has been announced; I am very happy and grateful to join a magnificent @scatterarchive roster, with a gentle mini/maximal album named "paper cuts".

Save the date: "paper cuts" coming out August 31 ❤️

"paper cuts" gathers a decade of my listening practice, drawing older and recent works into one resonant surface. Made alongside the years I spent raising an autistic child, these pieces carry traces of confrontation, resilience, survival, and creative transformation. They unfold as a constellation of sonic environments, shaped through listening and the quiet force of intuition.

--

For ten years I listened
to small things cutting the air:
a waterdrop, a string, a breath in the dark,
each one keeping its own little weather.
There was a child,
and the long schooling of survival.
There was no pompous orchestration,
only the wound practicing its ancient instrument.

I bent down to it.
I kept listening.

Even a paper cut
knows how to listen
when no one asks it to heal.

OUT JULY 17: IR01 - ECLIPSE is a stark release capturing dry, untreated, and uneffected acoustic resonances created by Ted Byrnes @tedbyrnes (percussion) and Anju Singh @whatismakingussick (violin, percussion). Any reverberations heard are from the steel square tubes in the room.

CD order link in bio.

The recording session took place in a private studio fitted with a self-built instrument (“Modular Steel Square + Round Tubes”) made by Anju Singh featuring five 3-5’ long steel square tubes hung from a wooden frame. The instrument and a drum kit were close-mic’d, and violin sounds were captured from room mics and a direct line.
