What started as a birthday celebration became an opportunity to give back 🤍

For her 29th birthday, Gugulethu invited her friends, family and community to contribute towards a giving drive in support of children receiving treatment through the Smile Foundation.

Together, the contributions helped provide care packages and essential items to children undergoing CO₂ laser treatment for burn injuries at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital.

A special thank you to everyone who gave, showed up and helped make the initiative possible and to @cerave_africa for generously donating 300 products towards the drive.

Thank you to @smilefoundationsa @umattersa & @_nmch_ for the incredible work you continue to do and for allowing this birthday celebration to become something bigger than a celebration.

This year, I wanted my birthday to extend beyond me ✨

I’m so grateful to my friends, family and community for helping me turn a simple birthday idea into something that could give back.

Through Smile Foundation’s U-Matter, burn survivors and their families are reminded that they don’t have to walk through recovery alone. U-Matter provides a space for peer support, emotional healing, storytelling and rebuilding confidence because healing goes far beyond the physical.

Every child deserves to feel seen, supported and reminded that they matter.

Looking back at our Brotherhood Breakfast, we’re reminded of how powerful it is when men are given a safe space to speak honestly about mental health, fatherhood, healing, and the experiences that shape them.

These reflections are more than interviews — they’re proof that real change begins with real conversations. Here’s to creating more spaces where men can be seen, heard, and supported.

This day exceeded every expectation.

What started as a Brotherhood Breakfast became something far greater: a powerful reminder of how necessary it is to create platforms where men can have honest conversations about mental health, fatherhood deficits, healing and the realities they face.

These are the conversations that challenge perspectives, build understanding and remind us that lasting change begins when we choose to talk.

This is only the beginning. 🤝🏾

Welcome to an episode of my life Written, Directed and Produce by God. 🥺🤍
I finally got around to recording a testimony video I promised God I’d share 3 months ago, during a challenging time in my career. I hope that this video (1 of 3) will be a testimony of The Parable of the talents Matthew 25:14-30 in practice and that God will never give you more than you can handle. Most importantly, faith is in works, and sometimes UNCOMFORTABLE ones.
