What would I have told the younger version of myself?

The version that got made fun of in grade school. Didn’t feel smart or good enough. The version that played Maple Story all day long and watched J/KDramas and anime. Didn’t quite feel like I fit in back then…

Our last fashion show was absolutely fantastic! A huge thank you to everyone who was part of it. You all made it such a memorable event. It was so much fun working on this project, and I can’t wait for more exciting events to come.

A little bit about our beautiful @wearableart_by_zejabet

Agnes Alana August is the Founder of ZEJABET, created the name by combining her four grandchildren’s names. From Ghana, West Africa, she aims to inspire women who have faced hardships. As a rape survivor, Agnes’s personal experience fuels ZEJABET’s mission to support all children, regardless of their birth circumstances, stating, “No child is a biological mistake.”

ZEJABET began as an NGO in Ghana, assisting teenage parents by providing custom children’s clothes and skills training. In 2015, it relocated to Las Vegas, becoming a registered business in 2020. ZEJABET plans to make its mark at the MAGIC trade show in August 2023.

Looking ahead, ZEJABET aims to support struggling parents and the homeless, partnering with a Las Vegas couturier to establish a school for aspiring designers. ZEJABET’s future includes creating a “Community Home” to offer more than just temporary shelter, aspiring to be a beacon of hope.

ZEJABET offers a unique collection of affordable, wearable art for all ages, using diverse materials like African kente and designer fabrics. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, showcasing creativity and originality.
