Yesterday we had the honor of sponsoring and participating in the NAYLOR CLASSIC 18th annual golf outing , representing Edgewood University Office of Military and Veterans Services.

The Naylor Classic supports current and retired service members in their academic journeys providing a large scholarship to aid in tuitional burdens. Email Veteransoffice@edgewood.edu to see if you qualify for academic year 2027-28 !

Pictured are current members of the United States Military and Veterans ranging from branches of the US. Marines , US Air-force, and US Navy who had the opportunity to receive the scholarship.

I picked up the summer 2020 edition of The Bugle magazine from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation and came across this photo from 2018. I was immediately blown away that a photo of me was on the cover of a magazine. I mean, me, a cover model? Could it be true?

Well...technically...yes.

I mean, the photo was on a cover. It just happened to be the back cover. To be more exact, the inside of the back cover......

The truth is, that this squad managed to pull off a stunning victory, and was a force that could not be reckoned with. Especially when teeing off with a sandwich in the mouth. But the is a story for another time.

Ass kicker of a leg day.

Warmed up with battle ropes and one leg air squats. Then jumped into squats on the rack, followed by Romanian deadlifts, leg presses, and closed it out with barbell deadlifts (sumo). I narrowed my focus on smooth, controlled reps & high volume. Also minimal time in between sets to build some cardio in throughout the workout. Another great pump .

Note to self:
Make sure #projectrock headphones 🎧 are fully charged the night before an early morning gym sesh .

With dead headphones, I manufactured motivation with my own internal soundtrack (Motionless in White, I Prevail, and Crown The Empire were the primary artists) and cranked out a great workout.

Back day:
Warmed up with wide arm pull-ups and one armed barbell rows. Then close grip seated pull-downs, kneeling wide arm lat pull-downs, close grip one arm seated rows for extra isolation; finished off with wide arm seated rows. Awesome pump today 💪🏻💪🏻

After an entire month away from the gym (26 of those days spent in Louisiana for military training) , it felt amazing to be back in my sanctuary. After losing 15 lbs of actual weight (some of that muscle mass) I felt like I had lost far more in the way strength gains. But I got back after it today. .
Warmed up with dips, pull-ups, and Roman Chair. Then I hit chest pretty hard with incline bench, cable crossovers, barbell flat bench (#stabilizers) and seated bench machine. Extra focus on triceps with pushdowns just the way @the_danofsteel taught me. Great to be back in the iron temple, putting in the effort to attain those former gains

Finished off my chest routine today on the vertical machine. Went high on the weight but still pushed through to meet my volume goals. 4000 m of rowing at the end, solid workout.

Far too long since I did dips so I decided to warm up for chest day with them. 5 sets of 10. Incline bench, cable crossovers, dumb bell flat bench for the stabilizers, then iso lateral machine to finish. Also a few miles on the elliptical for cardio. Great pump today .
