Happy National Dog Day! 🐶🐾💙

Today is all about celebrating the dogs who make our lives better every single day — the goofy ones, the cuddly ones, the anxious ones, the energetic ones, and every pup in between.

At Loyal Hearts Pet Care, we’re lucky to spend our days caring for so many amazing dogs and treating each one like part of the family.

Give your pup an extra treat, an extra walk, and a little extra love today. ❤️

Happy National Dog Day from the Loyal Hearts family! 🐾

Did you know… 👀🐶

Looking into your dog’s eyes actually creates a real chemical bond between you.

When you and your dog make relaxed eye contact, your brains both release oxytocin — the same hormone responsible for bonding between parents and babies.

It creates a loop:
You look at them → you feel love
They look at you → they feel love
And it keeps building

That calm, connected feeling you get?
That’s not in your head — it’s science.

It’s why:
• Your dog stares at you out of nowhere
• You feel instantly at peace around them
• That bond feels different than anything else

But here’s the thing…
This only happens when the dog feels safe.

With unfamiliar or anxious dogs, direct eye contact can feel threatening — so always read their energy.

With your dog though?
That moment… that look…

That’s love happening in real time. 🤍🐾
