FOLKLOR NATION 011

CYRK return to Switzerland’s Folklor Nation with Fantasy 2026 feat. Christine Eusebio, accompanied by remixes from Schiela and Eliott Litrowski.

Berlin-based duo CYRK have steadily etched their name into the electronic landscape, with their hardware-driven blend of electro, acid, techno and machine funk finding its way onto respected imprints including Running Back, Cultivated Electronics, Rawax, Polari and Science Cult. Along the way, their music has drawn remix treatment from the likes of Prins Thomas, D. Tiffany, Alinka and DC Salas, while a longstanding relationship with Lausanne’s Folklor Nation has become an important thread in their output. They now return to the Swiss imprint with Fantasy 2026, a project featuring Christine Eusebio’s vocals on the title track.

The title track, Fantasy 2026, opens the release with robust analogue drums, twitchy acid bass tones, hypnotic vocal chants and mesmeric bell chimes. Further fuelled by Christine Eusebio’s vocal contributions, it creates a slice of classic house with a modern cosmic twist.
Masc 4 Mascara follows, driven by a gritty arpeggiator bass groove, choppy stab sequences, ethereal atmospherics and dreamy bell-chime melodies, all dynamically evolving and unfolding throughout.

Gudu Records and Correspondant artist Schiela steps in on remix duties next, delivering an Italo Disco-tinged interpretation. She extracts the core energy of the original and fuses it with an amalgamation of ’80s-leaning synth melodies, dynamic drums, intricate layering and reshaped Eusebio vocal lines.

Eliott Litrowski—an artist found on the likes of Permanent Vacation, Moustache Records and Bordello A Parigi—then concludes with a take on Masc 4 Mascara, twisting the original into a chuggy Nu-Disco excursion. Laid out across five and a half minutes, it features meandering resonant synth licks, airy pads and a crunchy rhythm section intertwined with the original’s murky acid essence.

Track list:
1. Fantasy 2026
2. Masc 4 Mascara
3. Fantasy 2026 (Scheila Remix)
4. Masc 4 Mascara (Elliot Litrowski Remix)

LIFE IS A FESTIVAL, and experiencing Sonic Springs was a milestone for me. 💫🪩💕🏕️🤘🏾

Thank you to @sonicspringsfestival for the opportunity to share my sounds with the community on the Luna Stage. Shoutout to @deepsound_collectif and @aetheral.alchemy for creating a space that felt alive with intention and world class production.

Experiencing Sonic Springs during the 5th anniversary felt like magic. I shared the decks with my close friend @reseter_ofc and I also got to share the experience with my Ottawa family who have been such a huge part of my journey. Having them receive me and hold me down in that moment meant everything. 🫶🏾

I’m still at a loss for words. The experience rocked me in the best way. From driving into the unknown, to playing alongside close pals and new homies, to experiencing top notch visual and immersive art, to being part of an artist spotlight, to dancing my heart out and meeting one of my favorite producers @justinmartin and sharing a lineup with him. This community is special, and I’m grateful I got to witness it all first hand. 🥰

For those of you who have been curious about @sonicspringsfestival - check it out!!! 💞

Until next time, stay groovy. 🤘🏾🌞☺️✨❤️
