In its most terrifying reveal yet, it turns out @edgarmusical.uk is 10 years old this year. We premiered the original version of ‘The House of Edgar’ in a function room in the Radisson Hotel in Edinburgh playing to a room of 60 (initially mostly empty) chairs. That summer was one of my favourites, as over a month the show gradually picked up its own momentum as more and more people discovered our weird little show.

Thanks to the time and care and energy of so SO many people, we’ve been able to chip away at this piece over the decade, developing it into a complex, warts-and-all exploration of love, loss and legacy. Anybody who’s tried to develop a musical knows it takes a village, and doing so over this time has also required all the village’s surrounding suburbs. I feel incredibly grateful to everyone who has had anything to do with ‘Edgar’ over the years. Particularly shoutouts to the constant companions of @bethclarence_ and @jackdrydenuk

I have no idea what will happen with this show, but I hope it will haunt us again soon 👻👻

This winter, too many families across London are being forced into heartbreaking choices — deciding between heating their homes or putting food on the table. Parents are skipping meals so their children can eat, and millions are feeling the strain of rising costs and shrinking budgets.

That’s why our Carols at Candlelight Concert is supporting @thefelixproject 💚
 Their mission is simple and deeply human: to make sure good food never goes to waste, and no one in our city goes hungry. By rescuing surplus food and delivering it to charities, schools and community groups, they bring dignity, warmth and nourishment to thousands of people who need it most.

As we gather in candlelight and song, we hope to offer not just music — but a moment of solidarity and hope in a challenging winter.

i’m proud to share that i’m a recipient of the prestigious @aceagrams Developing Your Creative Practice grant to support ‘transmute’, a deeply personal and transformative project exploring my voice over time following facial gender confirmation surgery, and what it means for me to create sound as an artist today.

‘transmute’ is my attempt to understand how my voice might shift and change as the bone and cartilage in my face were reshaped. I approached this through a three-step process: reforming the voice with Estill legend @leonthevoicecoach, augmenting its sound with tech mother superior @hausofila, and ultimately, reconnecting with my community @transvoicesuk.

as the project draws to a long-overdue close, here’s some footage from the @premisesstudios workshops I led with the incredible musicians and artists of @transvoicesuk, exploring what’s possible when we build new sound worlds outside fixed roles, traditions, and expectations. i appreciate you all - your trust, creativity, and presence mean the world!

a special thanks also goes out to @neutone_ai and @mothquantum for their boundary-pushing technology and passion for creative collaboration.
