LOCAL LOOP: DETERING ORCHARDS 🎃🍎

If you’re planning a trip to Detering Orchards this fall, here are a few things to know before you go!

🍁 Give yourself time for parking! It can get busy, so plan for a little extra time before heading in.

🎟️ Get in line for tickets first! If you’re planning on doing any activities, head straight to the ticket line when you arrive. There’s apple blasters, a corn cannon, the hayride, the you pick patch, and more!

🚜 Take the you pick hayride! This was definitely worth it for us! The ride out was such a fun part of the experience and made for some sweet memories.

🍎 DON’T leave without apple cider! And pro tip: grab TWO because the first one might not even make it home. 😂

Whether you’re going with family, taking the kids, or just looking for something fun to do this fall, Detering Orchards is a great spot to add to your fall plans!

🍂 LOCAL LOOP | JOHNSON FARMS 🎃

If you’re looking for a full fall day with the family, Johnson Farms needs to be on your list!

We spent the day enjoying all the fall things pumpkin patch, hayride, corn maze, animals, caramel apples + fall treats, and of course the pumpkin catapults, which were HANDS DOWN Amari’s favorite. 😂🎃

There’s something so special about getting to experience these places through your little one’s eyes, especially when it’s their first fall. 🥹🍁

📍 JOHNSON VEGETABLE FARMS
89733 Armitage Rd, Eugene, OR

🕙 Fall hours:
Monday–Saturday: 10 AM–6 PM
Sunday: 11 AM–4 PM

🎟️ Hayride admission: includes the hayride, Pumpkin Slingshot Challenge, sunflower field + daytime corn maze. The farm also has a pumpkin patch, farm store, animals and additional fall activities. (Johnson Vegetable Farms)

💡 LOCAL LOOP TIP: Give yourself plenty of time! There’s a LOT to explore, and I’d definitely plan for shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirty/muddy.

One of my favorite parts of being a local real estate agent is getting to share the places that make our community feel like home not just where to live, but where to make the memories, too. 🏡

Save this for your next fall adventure or if ever you need a good giggle! 🍁

🍂🎃 LOCAL LOOP: HERRICK FARMS 🎃🍂

Some local places are more than just a stop on the fall bucket list… they’re part of your story. 🤎

We’ve grown up going to Herrick Farms, and now getting to bring Amari here and make those same sweet fall memories with her feels extra special. 🥹🍁

Even sweeter, this farm is owned and operated by dear friends, which makes supporting them and getting to watch their farm continue to grow even more meaningful to our family.

There’s just something about fall at Herrick Farms… crisp air, pumpkins, flowers, hay and all those little moments that make you want to slow down and soak it all in. 🎃🌾

I’m so thankful for the memories we’ve made here over the years, and even more thankful that we now get to create a whole new collection of them with our girl. 🤎

This is exactly what the Local Loop is about highlighting the places, people, and small businesses that make our community feel like home. 🏡🍂

Just a little birthday gathering with our family celebrating Bella turning 20! 🥳❤️

Good food, good people, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of love. So thankful for these moments together!

Also, leave a comment and let me know what you think of the little edit I made! 👀 I’m having way too much fun with these 😂.

Happy Birthday Chopper!!!

Happy 27th Anniversary to the most incredible man I know. ❤️

Mark, 27 years later, and I still find myself in awe of the human you are. You are, without question, one of the most selfless, loving, supportive, thoughtful, hardworking, and driven people I have ever known. The way you carry our family, show up for the people you love, and quietly give so much of yourself to others is something I will never take for granted.

You have been my steady place through every season of life — the highs, the heartbreaks, the chaos, the victories, and all the moments in between. You have loved me at my best and stood beside me at my worst, never wavering.

What we have built together over these 27 years is something I am endlessly proud of. A life filled with love, laughter, resilience, family, friendship, and memories I wouldn’t trade for anything.

If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would still choose you. Every single time.

Thank you for being the extraordinary man that you are and for making this life so beautiful. I love you more than words could ever fully capture. 🥂❤️
