It was a true full circle moment at High Point Market.

I was a part of the amazing team from Samsung Art Store, showing off the latest collection from The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Frame TVs in the exquisite Eichholtz showroom.

The discerning designer crowd included some of the OG Atlanta Peach crew, including Style Editor @amyflurry who still remembers our first conversation about bringing a luxury pub to town, and @bpatrickflynn who reminisced about entry into the print world with his first column. We called him the Decor Demon.

I also loved connecting some of our famous faces in the mag like @vernyipdesigns and @schmoosdaddy to the super talented Head of Content and Curation Daria Greene and Head of Marketing Ari Greenberg.

You know I love a great dinner table, and the designers appreciated a chance to slow down to talk and toast their friends.

Bonus moment was the opportunity to moderate the Beyond the Black Box panel with the always engaging, McQueen-clad @coreydamenjenkins, The Met’s Leanne Graeff and Daria Greene, of course!

Still beaming, but quick turnaround and on the way to Parent’s Weekend. Joy all around.

Over $50,000 raised for @lifelineanimal at the @teddysphotos concert this past Saturday! We were so excited to be a part of the Good Human Gala earlier this year where we helped this auction item come to fruition. Team WAGALOT hosted a 27 person suite at the @teddysphotos concert at @mercedesbenzstadium Saturday night that raised over $50,000 for shelter dogs at @lifelineanimal! The tickets to this fully catered suite with epic views were auctioned off earlier in the year at the annual Lifeline Animal Project Good Human Gala. So great to enjoy music surrounded by fellow good humans united in the cause of animal welfare! #wagalot #goodhuman #lifelineanimalproject

Quick trip to Seattle for the wedding of our dear friends, @jonesjdaniel and @threegreenbeans aboard the MV Skansonia, a permanently docked wooden vessel dating back to 1929. Even the weather gods endorsed this perfect union. Congratulations to the handsome couple!

Summer vacation wrap up: first and foremost, we are so grateful for the extended family time that travel has allowed us. It’s the primary reason why summer is my favorite season. As Gavin and Vera get ready to head back to high school, I’m reminded that time is fleeting and the kids’ days with us, under our roof, are sadly dwindling. That’s why we take every opportunity to make those very, precious memories. 🇫🇷🇪🇸🇬🇷🇲🇪🇭🇷🇮🇹

Campus Tour, Venice Edition: Impressive morning touring @wfu_casaartom , Wake Forest University’s study abroad campus located on Venice’s Grand Canal. Once the American Consulate, this incredibly impressive 19th century villa sits directly adjacent to the @guggenheim_venice (another very worthy tour stop) in the prime Dorsoduro district. All of us, including our resident alum, @schmoosdaddy, were beyond impressed by the extensive offerings and opportunities available to @wfuniversity students in Venice…plus dorm rooms with direct Grand Canal views! All Aboard! Our family finally took the plunge and embarked on our very first cruise for a long overdue, extended family trip. From Athens to our final destination, Venice, we’ve had an abundance of quality time with my cherished sister (my only sibling who happens to live on the other side of the world from me ), and her beautiful family, aboard this floating city. Unexpected bonus: top deck croquet court and plenty of cousin bonding. There’s something undeniably special about seeing the next generation’s relationships forge and deepen. Our mom, who passed just over 20 years ago, would be so proud that we all made the time.
