Born in Hamilton Ontario and currently residing in Atlanta Georgia, Krystal V is a weaver of ambient tapestries and a deep diver into the darker realms of electronica, IDM, and downtempo soundscapes.

Mirror Move is an Atlanta-based shoegaze and dream-pop project formed by friends Andrew Ross (guitar, vocals, programming) and Allen McCleese (drums). The project blends hazy guitars, echoed vocals, and reverberated drums into immersive walls of sound. Influenced by Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, and M83, the project balances the nostalgia of classic shoegaze with genre-bending experimentation.

Update for Porchfest: with the threat of wild weather and tons of rain tomorrow, we and and @schoolofdesignband have decided to cancel our Porchfest gig. I was really looking forward to this day, my favorite day of the year, to hang and celebrate with friends, but it’s not looking good and it doesn’t show any signs of optimism, just rain. So….its a bummer, but the good news is we will have @schoolofdesignband back next year, and we will blow it out. Promise. Beers will still be on me.

This weekend at Oakhurst Porchfest we will be hosting @schoolofdesignband on our porch at 4pm! Not only will they be bringing the full band energy, we will also have our neighbors who are aerialists perform an amazing show of acrobatic awesomeness! Are they a band? Nope. Is it going to rule? Yep. Come by early and check out other Porchfest bands on 3rd Ave. Beers on me. 🍺

With the exclusive premiere of their new single, 'Astrid's Song', coming up on Tape Wounds this Tuesday, I caught up with @schoolofdesignband to play a game of 'Would You Rather', asking them to choose between some of their favourite shoegaze acts. This one was tough!

I’m not even blowing smoke, what a GREAT debut show from @schoolofdesignband I knew they were going to be good but damn, they were TIGHT AF.

Sam’s stage persona and voice were perfectly moody and endearing. The guitar solos: A++, bass attitude dialed IN (that amp jump tho 🤘🏻), rhythm guitar held it the fuck down and the drums were unrelentingly driving with unique fills.

Very impressed and very excited to see what they continue to do ✨. Congrats y’all.
