San Diego State long snapper Chase Schubert made the trip to Eau Claire, WI to chase perfection!

Chase and I recently started working together while he was at Blinn College in Texas. He’s already made tremendous progress, and that growth helped earn him an opportunity to continue his career at San Diego State!

When we first started, Chase was very raw. During his last visit, we focused heavily on building the foundation: balance, efficiency, and body control. Because he committed to those concepts and put in the work, this session allowed us to take the next step and refine the details even further.

A major focus was improving efficiency and allowing his body to flow through the snap rather than trying to force it with aggression. One of the most common mistakes long snappers make is believing they need to throw harder to snap faster. While that seems logical on the surface, the reality is that efficient movement has to come first. When the body moves well and sequences correctly, speed becomes easier to create and repeat.

Chase continues to do a great job learning, applying corrections, and trusting the process. He’s more locked in than ever, and I’m excited to continue helping him chase perfection as he begins this next chapter at San Diego State!
