Vayu was a Mumbai-based Indian rock band formed in 1997 by guitarist Ravi Iyer. The band's best-known line-up featured Ravi Iyer (guitar), 2Blue (vocals), Schubert D'Souza (bass, keyboard) & Aatur Soni, (drums). Known for blending classic rock, progressive rock, blues, and funk influences, evident on their debut album 'Wings of a Dream'. Vayu will always be remembered for building a strong following on India's independent rock circuit through its powerful live performances.

Long Post

Yesterday we made history
Another artist was presented to the world
@prodi_z.official @guitxr_ishit

Ishit I couldn't be more proud of your accomplishment

Another unique fusion band was formed
@popgharaana

It was a great initiative by @sanjeev.rai.7161 to bring about this platform not just for Ishit but this platform is open to all budding artists who fit into the Prodi-Z category under 18

I thank the members of Pop Gharaana
Dr. @narayanramanviolin who is a virtuoso violinist composer and his own music school called Namo Music Academy... he along with @rachnakapasi really lead from the front

@vidya.vacm who to me can practically invoke Goddess like energy when she sings

@vidyadhar_bhave who's been one of my biggest anchors in the world of professional music and a Rockstar vocalist

@george_jo_music a master keyboardist, Composer and crazy stage vibe...

Ramesh Krishnamurthy who is a purist in his approach and as serious about music as he is about his corporate wizardry and is exemplary for students who want to do well in academics and music

Lavesh Sawardekar .. who is so multi faceted and multi talented... percussionist guitarist and a fine educator

Schubert D'Souza who couldn't play due to a freak accident but is a master pianist, guitarist and bassist and put lot of effort into rehearsals ... lots of respect!!

Vaibhav Jadhav who came in last minute and like a super professional .. he just owned the bass parts and helped us carry the show

All marketing and backstage management

Aarya, Anaya, Kavish and Krrish ... words can't encapsulate effectively what you'll have done to promote this event with everything you've got!

Our esteemed Chief guest Chintoo Singh Wasir ji for giving us an on the spot masterclass by simply witnessing him play!!

Lastly, the audience....I have so much respect for everyone who attended the event and blessed us. It meant the world to us... more than we can express

It'll only get bigger and better from here...tatha astu

2004 | Mumbai: Before the algorithms. Before Indus Creed’s big reunion.

This was Mumbai’s No. 1 rock band: Vayu.

No smartphones.
No autotune.
Nothing but pure Rock N’ Roll.

You see, sometimes you’ve got to look back to remember where you came from.

If you were there, you were part of something special.

Tag your people.
Relive the best days of your life.

www.2BlueHimself.com 2004. Mumbai on fire.
2Blue, Ravi Iyer, Aatur Soni, and Schubert D’Souza—four men, one sound, and a city that wouldn’t stop screaming. Packed venues. No phones. Just sweat, guitars, and voices singing every word.
If you know, you know.

Last night was fantastic with some amazing young talent that showcased their musical prowess thanks to the wonderfully collaborative band Pythagoras & The Right Angles with Jai Abhishek and Schubert readily taking a step back to let the young guns set the stage on fire! We witnessed Sshivin’s blazing guitar solos and Anurag’s fiery drumming with some tight rhythm guitar and vocals by Shantanu along side young guests like Keya on Bass, Ved on drums and Danny from Hyderabad on guitars too! So proud to see Nivi singing with these stars!
