@hopeforprisoners Second Chance Month: Had a front seat with a true champion of Second Chances, Mr. Shaka Senghor, New York Times bestselling author, How To Be Free (must read) Because the true measure of justice is not how long we remember a person’s worst act but whether we allow them the space to write a better next chapter #redemption #restoration #recovery #secondchance #thehopeforprisoners www.hopeforprisoners.org

@hopeforprisoners What could one do with the power of a Second Chance? You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. That’s what Second Chances are all about. We invite you to join us on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Red Rock Resort for HOPE for Prisoners’ Annual Gala, “A Night of Second Chances.” This unforgettable evening will celebrate transformation, resilience, and the power of redemption. @hopeforprisoners To walk out of prison having paid your debt to society is a feeling that is almost impossible to put into words. It is the weight of accountability carried to its end. It is knowing that you have faced the consequences of your actions. But to then be welcomed home not with suspicion, not with distance, but by a roomful of police officers inside the headquarters of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, that is something extraordinary. It represents the power of redemption meeting responsibility. It is the powerful acknowledgment that a person is more than their worst decision, and that restoration is possible.
Moments like that are how we bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. When officers and formerly incarcerated men and women stand in the same room, not as adversaries, but as partners in public safety, trust begins to grow. Healing begins to happen. It sends a message that accountability and grace can coexist, and that safer, stronger communities are built when we believe in second chances. That kind of welcome does more than honor one individual’s journey, it models what reconciliation can look like for our world. #redemption #restoration #recovery #secondchance #jesus www.hopeforprisoners.org

@hopeforprisoners God of salvation You chased down my heart through all of my failure and pride, on a hill You created, the light of the world abandoned in darkness to die, and as You speak a hundred billion failures disappear where You lost Your life so I could find it here if You left the grave behind You, so will I, I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done, every part designed in a work of art called love, if You gladly chose surrender so will I, I can see Your heart eight billion different ways, every precious one a child You died to save, if You gave Your life to love them so will I, like You would again a hundred billion times, but what measure could amount to Your desire, You’re the One who never leaves the one behind, like you would again hundred billion #redemption #restoration #recovery #secondchance www.hopeforprisoners.org

@hopeforprisoners What an incredibly humbling day it has been, as HFP has been honored as the Vegas Chamber’s 2025 Non-Profit of the Year! Glory to God. Being selected from among several esteemed non-profits I have admired for years fills my heart with immense gratitude. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the selection committee, the Vegas Chamber, our collaborative partners, HFP’s Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and especially to the men and women we are privileged to serve, who are courageously fighting for their second chances. #redemption #restoration #recovery #secondchance #church #jesus #community #church #faith #hope #love #thehopeforprisoners www.hopeforprisoners.org

@hopeforprisoners I’d like to introduce you to Mr. Antwaun Cambell. We first met Antwaun nearly 18 months ago while he was serving his time in the HFP Unit at Southern Desert Correctional Center. Driven to transform his life and create a better future for himself and his 13-year-old daughter, who was eagerly awaiting his return, Antwaun fully engaged with the resources offered by the HFP pre-release program. He took the time to confront the issues that led to his incarceration and prepared himself to re-enter society.

Recognizing his sharp intellect and practical skills, our case managers encouraged Antwaun’s interest in plumbing and enrolled him in our Vocational Village partnership with @nti_training After successfully completing the NTI courses and finishing his sentence, he proudly graduated in his cap and gown at the ceremony hosted at @lvmpd HQ. Today, he works full-time as a plumber. Just last week, he had the joy of escorting his daughter on her first day of school, vowing never to miss such a milestone again. Mission accomplished—now it’s time for the next chapter. #redemption #restoration #recovery #repurpose #hope #faith #love #jesus #thehopeforprisoners
