WE’RE ENGAGED!

My first memory of you is a sensation—your presence moving through me like a current as you passed by and our bodies syncing before our minds could catch up. You seemed lit from within, hovering above the earth. Later I learned that I appeared to you in a golden light. None of it was real, and all of it was. We finally collapsed into one another—our lives merging by inevitability.

Owen proposed to me in the park by his childhood home at the top of Elysian Heights. I like to imagine him in all of his younger versions on walks with his family, never guessing that one day he’d propose to the woman he loves in that very same place that introduced him to life.

He wanted me to have a one of a kind ring, a vision that came into being with the help of @schylergately ‘s talent. Made from two heirloom rings passed down through generations ( thank you @christykeen5 ) it was melted into an absolute dream.

“Trust the promise of this opening” is a line I live by and Owen has been the most vast, wide and pulsing opening yet, a promise I felt at an instant when we met on Orcas Island.

I feel unspeakably honored and fucking lucky that I get to stand beside him in this life. To forever witness him unravel and rise into himself, and to watch his brilliant mind and generous heart find their form in the world.

Forever living a life worth living with you!!!
