Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia

Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia فرصت بدید.

I just finished Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, and honestly, I don't even know where to begin. I have so much to say about this anime, but one question keeps coming back to me:

Why isn't everyone talking about this masterpiece?

With an 8.43 rating, breathtaking art, incredible character writing, and a soundtrack that beautifully incorporates traditional Iranian instruments, this anime deserves so much more recognition.

As an Iranian, watching this story was an experience I can't easily put into words. Seeing Iran portrayed with such beauty, and then witnessing the devastation the Mongol invasions brought upon its people, was genuinely heartbreaking. Even knowing that the story isn't entirely historically accurate, I was deeply moved by how it brought this painful part of history to life.

And the incredible thing is that you don't need to know anything about Iranian history or the Mongol Empire to appreciate it. The storytelling is strong enough to draw anyone in, make them care about the characters, and leave them wanting to know more.

The art, the music, the characters, the atmosphere, the historical setting… There is so much to love about this anime that I could write about it for hours.

But above all, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who made this possible.

To the original mangaka, Tomato Soup, and to every artist, animator, musician, writer, and member of the production team who helped bring this story to life: I wish I could shake each and every one of your hands, kiss them out of gratitude, and tell you how much your work means to me.

Thank you for creating something that made me feel so much, taught me to look at history through the eyes of its people, and reminded me how powerful storytelling can be.

You didn't just make an anime. You created something that will stay with me for a long time.

Please give Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia a chance. It deserves to be seen, discussed, and remembered.
