This Saturday I’ll be running a workshop on synthesis with @_the_scl here in Chicago, using this system I just put together. I am currently running through its paces, and have already found many cinematic sounds, but this ring mod effected random sequence really spoke to me. Come join us this weekend, and brush up your synth skills, or learn to get started!

We are asking the public to refrain from using music streaming platforms for 2 days as a visible show of support for human music creators.

Pause streaming. Use your voice. Stand with the artists who create the music you love.

THUMBS down AI generated content! Pause AI and regulate it.

Chicago musicians standing up - making some noise. We’re not anti technology, but anti artificial music. Thanks to @chicagotribune, @abc7chicago, @cfm10208 and all the amazing musicians who showed up, to “stand up for our rights.”

MUSICIANS UNITE! Rally to Protect Human Artists and Musicians
Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 1pm /
219 S. Dearborn / Dirksen Federal Plaza

An independent coalition of human artists and musicians will rally on October 1st at Dirksen Federal Plaza in an effort to highlight the devastating effects of Generative AI in the music industry. They are coming together, to band together, to say PAUSE AI. It needs regulation. The music made by human creators needs to be protected. Enough! AI-generated music is not real music.
