Movement Notes: Down Stretch & Up Stretch

Two movements that are slowly teaching me how much control is required beyond just moving the carriage.

With Down Stretch, finding extension is one thing, but maintaining that shape as the carriage moves is another.

With Up Stretch, I’m learning to be more intentional with spinal articulation. Knowing when to maintain flexion, when to lengthen into neutral, and how to coordinate everything with my hips and shoulders.

What I’m beginning to appreciate is how both exercises require different kinds of control.

One challenges me to move through different spinal positions with precision, while the other challenges me to maintain a position without losing its integrity.

Honestly still get confused and challenged with so many things to take into consideration.

Still a lot to refine, but that’s what makes the practice interesting. ✍🏻
