Spent the weekend at Disneyland celebrating the 250th anniversary of the USA. Great to have friends around to make it even better.

Bill Meadows, the veteran guitarist from Mealticket, is one of our guests on Episode 112 of the History of LA Ska: One On One Sessions. Scott Klopfenstein (Reel Big Fish, The Littlest Man Band) and Mike Berault (My Superhero, Bite Me Bambi) also join us on this Celebrating the ‘90s – Part 2 episode. Watch this interview now on YouTube - link in our profile @historyoflaska. Mealticket was formed in 1991 by members of the Van Nuys High School marching band. They performed in the San Fernando Valley and around Southern California, quickly gaining a devout ska and punk following. They disbanded in 1997, shortly after Bill parted ways. As a kid, Bill collected comics and baseball cards so it’s not surprising that he’s been such a great resource for ‘90s ska flyers and memorabilia. He landed a career as a technician for feature film mixing and was even the re-recording mixer for the Pick It Up! Ska in the ‘90s documentary. Here are some pics of Bill in action… Photo 1: with members of Mealticket, MU330, and Slapstick Photo 2: Mike getting a jump on the rest Photo 3: with members of Mealticket Photo 4: with Genai Canale (Mealticket) and Jason Nelson (MU330) #billmeadows #mealticketska #ska #historyoflaska

Scott Klopfenstein is our guest on the Celebrating the ‘90s: Part 2 episode of the History of LA Ska: One On One Sessions. On this Episode 112, Scott is joined by Mike Berault (My Superhero, Bite Me Bambi) and Bill Meadows (Mealticket).  Scott sings and plays trumpet, keyboards, and guitar. Although most known for being a member of ska punk heavyweights Reel Big Fish, Scott was also with two other ‘90s outfits, The Scholars and the Knuckle Brothers. He now fronts The Littlest Man Band and is a “creativity” teacher for adults (yes, that’s right!). Watch this inspiring episode now on YouTube or as a podcast - direct link in our profile @historyoflaska. Here are some fun pics of Scott… Photo 1: with members of Reel Big Fish Photo 2: playing trumpet in Reel Big Fish Photo 3: with Greg Lee (Hepcat) and Jesse Wagner (The Aggrolites) during Bite Me Bambi’s “Want You Bad” video shoot Photo 4: with the Knuckle Brothers #scottklopfenstein #reelbigfish #thelittlestmanband #historyoflaska
