I keep seeing the same complaint.

“The modeling industry is unfair.”
“Nobody respects models.”
“I didn't get paid.”

And then I ask one question:

Have you ever taken a model training?

Because the training exists and it has been available with @amma_ssociation for the past 18months.

We just finished one, and it wasn’t just posing and walking. We covered content creation, social media, collaboration and the actual business of building a modeling career.

Some models who attended had trained with me before. They still came back.

Because they understand something a lot of models miss: you don’t outgrow training. Sometimes you need a refresher. Sometimes you need to learn something new. But most importantly, you need to apply what you’ve learned.

Modeling is a job. Pageantry is a job. If you want to be treated like a professional, You must try to understand it.

At @amma_ssociation we run training every two months, and our next big one, The Business of Modeling, is coming in 2027.

If you’re serious about investing in yourself, keep an eye out for our monthly training. Registration will open for select months throughout the year.

If you’re ready to learn, grow, and put it into practice, send us a message. +237680101680

If I hear one more model or pageant queen say, “I want to use my voice to make an impact,” I will scream.

“I want to make an impact. I want to use my voice to create change. I want to use my platform to influence people positively.” This seems to be the anthem for models and queens in Cameroon.

But when you dig deeper, most of these answers and statements are shallow and unprepared, just what sounds right.

I said this at the Model Me Brunch, I don't encourage people to get into the modeling industry, but if you do, don’t go into modeling or pageants lightly. If you want to do it, research and do it properly.

For those serious about being pageant queens, there’s one book you must read: A Crown That Lasts by @demitebow Miss Universe 2017. I’ve read it twice, and it’s full of life-changing knowledge. Buy it on Amazon.

This industry needs more than rehearsed answers. You need preparation, planning, and real understanding of what impact you want to make and what life will look like after the crown. Don’t enter ignorant.
