When @a_bear_sounds invited me to open and close her Abearfest gig @spanners.club I knew it would be great fun, but I wasn’t ready for it to go off like that! A wicked night with brilliant live sets from her, @sjbuckers @bruise_blood and @yb31b31 and just an excellent little venue to lose yourself in, hats off to @nonpayingbuyer and team. I’ve uploaded recordings of my opening and closing sets on the night to my soundcloud. Link in the usual spot. Hope you enjoy it! Ps - catch me Djing @newriverstudios on Oct 10th for @chaostheorymusic with @celynofgwent @curates.egg and more!

👋✨🌀💭💫🥳🪩📎🗯️🌙 1) Day one of being thirty years old (!)🎂 22) The first photo I took in @fredaldous’ photobooth — ten years ago this month (!)🥸 I have been taking a soft break from Instagram (/ life) while recovering from some health issues and enjoying journalling with physical memories from this year and beyond. A belated happy 30th, 10 years of Manchester to me, and also a happy 100th year since the invention of the Autofoto! 🎥 I feel very grateful for the tactile memories it provides sans screen. Last year I started making a book to keep them all in; I had hoped to finish it by the end of autofoto’s centennial year but life has had other plans — maybe in 2026! ❤️‍🩹 [🙏 — moments silence for all the strips lost in friends tote bags, deteriorated inside my phone case, or sacrificed to the break up gods in a moment of madness. I love everyone who has ever squeezed into a photobooth alongside me.]

Wrap this! We've had a great year, really proud of the music that's coming through the label. Big thanks to all the producers who've shared their music - it's what it's all about. We want to be an outlet for people's creativity, where you can believe there's a purpose in what you're doing, not chasing trends or popularity. Of course we want people to hear it & enjoy it - and that's why we're reminding you 5th December is the final Bandcamp Friday of 2025. A chance to support independent artists and labels. One purchased track = about 600 streams... but it actually gets paid out. Check our bio for our Bandcamp page or search for The Running Man, Marc Heatley, Scott Artex, Becky Cee, Chris Evry, Louis Onetime, Rawtrachs, Slow Assembly/ Future Self, Music to Melt to, or any other independent artists who are on your radar. We appreciate you more than any faceless global corporation ever will! AF

ONLY 20 PRESSINGS PER RELEASE Space Bunny Records @spacebunnyrecords limited edition 10″ releases. A collection of three essential cuts for the underground dancefloor. We have been unwillingly gatekeeping this one for a couple of months after grabbing our copies and just realised you should know. These releases are limited, hand‑cut vinyl runs, clearly aimed at the dancer, the crate‑digger, the head who remembers techno’s wild sub genres. Ownership here means possessing something rare, visceral, and built for actual motion. SBNY003 - The Count / Return to Albion Scott Artex @scottartex returns to the label with his 4x4 rolling basslines and intergalactic synths, marking 2 heavy dance floor offerings from the Manchester based producer.   1. The Count (Slide 1) 2. Return to Albion (Slide 2) SBNY004 - Solar Funk / Kula Quest Banjaxed's @banjaxeddj return to the label is sure to ignite dance floors with his debut solo release, 'Solar Funk / Kula Quest.' The two tracks delve deep into the realms of deep house, weaving cosmic soundscapes with pulsating 303s. 'Solar Funk' transports listeners on a journey through the cosmos with its ethereal melodies and hypnotic rhythms, while 'Kula Quest' ventures into more leftfield territories, blending warbling acid lines with infectious grooves. 1. Solar Funk (Slide 3) 2. Kula Quest (Slide 4) SBNY005 - Alien Signals / Dog Machine  ‘Alien Signals', originally featured as the third track on Alien Izz's @alien_izz debut EP, is now getting a special treatment with a remastering. This release is paired with an electrifying and exclusive new track from Jovak @jovak___ in the form of ‘Dog Machine.’ Two underground cuts, delivering warbling acid and dance floor heat. 1. Alien Izz - Alien Signals (Slide 5) 2. Jovak - Dog Machine (Slide 6) These 20 unit runs don’t wait, we last counted 8 in stock for each pressing. Head over to the @spacebunnyrecords @bandcamp page to grab yours.

✨Fake Fans✨ is now closed 💖 Thank you to everyone who to spent time in our exhibition exploring the subculture of bootlegs, fan-made artefacts, and counterfeit memorabilia 🥸✨ I am very blown away by the amount of people who came to see this show; people who sent me messages, tagged me in stories, made TikToks (!)… I’m so grateful for your time. I managed to sneak in a couple of times during the shows run and get some cute videos — seeing people interacting with this work is a feeling I will never forget. Thank you so much @sitegallery 💞 Fake Fans was curated by @postarchives, in collaboration with @societyofexplorers and Creative Producers, Site Gallery’s youth collectives, with animation and music by @pstlcstl 💖 Thank you also to @rosiemcginnart, @sile.sibanda and @abstract_land for their wonderful workshop programme, @jamesmccoll999 for digital tech support and everyone who sent me freaky little bootlegs to 3D scan or include in my research folders. Looking forward to sharing more documentation of this work soon! 👀 #bootlegtoys #bootlegpokemon

To add to the cross-pollination of ideas Scott and Doug have remixed each other's tracks to round out the package. It'll be a Bandcamp exclusive on Friday 5 September, then drops everywhere else on Sept 8th. AF016 The Running Man & Scott Artex: Future Relict 1. The Running Man: Future [slide 2] 2.
