I’d like to take this moment to wish a Happy Birthday to the day one brother @scottbars
You’ve done so much for me in this lifetime and you’ve been that solid since I’ve known you in high school & you’ve well and truely earned the respect and right to be called a brother.
I love you man! Today is your day and I hope it’s everything you deserve man ❤️

🎤 SCOTTBARS + SPECIAL GUESTS 🍇

You might be used to seeing scottbars behind the camera at RIPE, making the artists, the crowd and the whole RIPE crew look good. As our photographer and videographer, he’s captured countless moments from our nights and works with plenty of artists across Melbourne’s hip hop scene.

But there’s another side to scottbars. Originally making the move from Brisbane to Melbourne, he’s also a rapper, musician and producer with his own project on the way.

Scottbars will be giving us a first taste of what he’s been working on, performing tracks from the upcoming project and bringing out a bunch of the featured artists to join him on stage.

For once, we’re getting Scott out from behind the camera and in front of it. 📸➡️🎤

🎤 KATIJA ALBUM SHOWCASE WITH SPECIAL GUESTS 🍇

For the last few years, Katija has spent a lot of her time platforming other artists — as co-founder of RIPE Hip Hop and host of Kickin’ It With Katija on KISS FM, creating spaces for artists to perform, share their stories and get their music heard.

Now it’s time to step back onto the other side of the mic!

This Friday will be an album showcase for Katija’s upcoming project, performing a first taste of what she’s been working on behind the scenes and bringing up a bunch of the artists featured across the album.

The rollout officially begins this week, with the first single dropping Wednesday 16 September alongside Ronks — then we’re off. 👀

Come get an early listen to the album before it lands and see Katija & Friends live at RIPE TURNS 3.

Performances by @ronkymaate @scottbars + friends.
