On this day January 20, 2001, Series 7: The Contenders directed by Daniel Minahan, who directed gems like Game of Thrones and Halston, was released. We were lucky enough to work on the soundtrack. Some of those songs would later come out in full versions on You Can’t Fight What you Can’t See on @jadetree

Girls Against Boys (Johnny Temple)

This originally was supposed to be just a GVSB post, but I kinda just turned it into a Johnny Temple appreciation one. These are all the Girls Against Boys and Soulside that I have. Unfortunately, I don't have any New Wet Kojak. I've never seen GVSB live, but I did just catch Soulside at The Black Cat with Verbal Assault.

#tbt Martin Norris dug up this picture of us at the Sir George Robey in London back in 1989. We managed to eke our way through customs, escape a skinhead knifing, find a leather Discharge vest and blonde wig and make ourselves famous with our “overconfident singer” and a “cesspool of outmoded guitar effects!” And we also finally got to take a shower. 🛀

#tbt when we got it together and released You Can’t Fight What You Can’t See, we got to play some fun shows with Interpol which included broken down vans, a rousing Happy Birthday to Scott sung by hundreds of French people and a million broken dreams.
