A quick little NOCTURNIA behind the scenes photo dump.

There were many things about this process that made it so fun and challenging, but working with your best friends is what made it feel really, really special. We started rehearsing the show in the beginning of August and a lot can happen in two months. Some of us got sick and showed up anyway, some of us faced employment challenges and still made it work, some of us experienced problems outside of the rehearsal room and still came in ready to work and put on a good show. Absolutely professionals of their craft, as well as the most kind, loving, and caring friends I could ever ask for.

Also not pictured here are @scottifylikespotify and @sofia_mae19 who both devoted way more time and energy to this show than initially asked, and really made things work behind the scenes to make our jobs that much easier, for my partner @christophaam for designing some insane graphic design materials that helped us market the show, as well as @jnigh003 and @theakinmachine who lent their expertise and craft to the lights and sound and helped us put the final touches on the show to create the experience we wanted the audience to have.

And lastly, I have to thank @lizbrydgemusic and Zeiders American Dream Theater for reading my initial proposal and taking a chance on an admittedly very abstract concept and supported it from day one. The Z is truly the place you wanna be to see your projects grow. It is not lost on me how incredibly lucky we all are to have a space like this in the Hampton Roads Area.

closing night is this weekend. i am so so so happy to be apart of this cast! this is something i will always want to continue doing and i rlllly hope i cross paths with you all again (even those who aren’t in the post).
fun fact - this was my FIRST time auditioning for a show and my FIRST lead!

been a while since i did a dump : )

a little life update:
closed trail to oregon and dogs dinner which were such fun and amazing experiences!

properly celebrated my birthday for the first time since high school (and the first time i wasn’t in tech during my birthday in three years)

katie and i officially moved out into our own apartment!

life has been pretty amazing and i know it’ll continue to do as such thanks to my amazing friends and family and partner 🩷
