POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Before Yoga in Salento @laverafrizzi was a documentary filmmaker, fascinated by story-telling through the art of capturing life as it unfolds.
Over the past few years, she's also been the eye behind the camera of most of the reels we share here.
And sometimes, a moment needs nothing more than to be captured. Like this one.
One uninterrupted minute. One single shot. No cuts. No manipulation of reality.

The connection between teacher( @scottjohnsonlife) and student (@sistashtangakat) . The listening, the words, the gestures, the trust. The wisdom that grows through years of shared practice.

Learning to drop back....
In the Ashtanga tradition passed down by Pattabhi Jois, the foundation begins with 3 Urdhva Dhanurasanas, mastered with confidence and control before starting brop backs. The body needs time to prepare. There are no shortcuts.

And alongside this physical journey comes something equally profound: courage, awareness, surrender and trust.

This is one of the gifts of Mysore practice: within a collective practice, each student receives individual attention during their own journey.

Year after year, the same yogis return here to practice with Scott Johnson. And this one minute reveals why, more than a thousand words could!!!

Connections deepen, trust grows, and a community quietly takes shape.

We've always believed that the yoga mat is our laboratory for life. A place where we explore our limitations, challenge our fears and discover possibilities we never imagined.

And sometimes, the smallest breakthrough on the mat becomes a turning point far beyond it.

Czasem wystarczy, żeby ktoś dał Ci przestrzeń, a czasem wystarczy, że sama/sam dasz ją sobie ✨️

Oddech, łagodność i zaufanie do siebie - to wynoszę z minionego weekendu.

Nie wszystko musi być mocne, żeby poczuć ciało, głowę, oddech i żeby je zintegrować.

Podczas jednej z asyst, usłyszałam od Scotta zdanie, które ze mną od tego czasu jest codziennie.

"Wróć do swojego oddechu i mu zaufaj" - zabieram to i posyłam w świat 🤍

Sometimes all it takes is for someone to give you space, and sometimes all it takes is for you to give that space to yourself ✨️

Breath, gentleness, and trusting yourself — these are what I’m taking away from this past weekend.

Not everything has to be intense to feel your body, your mind, your breath, and to bring them into integration.

During one of the assists, Scott said something to me that has stayed with me every day since:

“Come back to your breath and trust it.” — I’m taking these words with me and sending them out into the world 🤍

I feel it may be a while before I get to experience a practice with @scottjohnsonlife again, but I’m deeply grateful to myself for having the courage to go to these workshops 🙏🏻

Ewelina, thank you for holding space, for your guidance, and for being the heart of it all @yogashalakrakow 🤍

Sangha, or spiritual community, is an essential part of personal spiritual growth.

Spaces like yoga retreats or festivals ultimately serve that very purpose: opening up environments to build a supportive community that fosters peer learning and acts as a source of inspiration for our lives.
