A customer came up to my bar last night and asked, "who's that band you went to see in Atlanta"? I said, "Marvelous 3". He was on vacation in Tennessee and walked into a random dive bar and said, "I was standing right next to #ButchWalker and suddenly he jumped on stage ripped one hell of a solo. There aren’t enough words to properly describe what @_daveelkins_ has meant to my musical journey. His songs have been a constant inspiration but spending a week with him back in 2018 completely changed the way I approach music. I’m forever grateful for his music, his guidance and his friendship. It’s hard to put into words what a true labor of love these pet portraits are.

Often times people come to me in the midst of devastating grief to ask for a portrait of their furry family members, their very best friends.

It’s a big, important, very meaningful job that I don’t take lightly.

My hope is always to capture the spirit of your pet to the best of my abilities and, quite literally, shine some light into the impossible void they’ve left behind.

When I say it’s a honor it’s an understatement.

When I get messages that you or your loved one cried when you opened it, I cry too.
When you tell me I captured them and their personality perfectly, I feel so fulfilled.
When I look back through all the photos in my phone and see hundreds of pets that aren’t mine but feel a little like family now, my heart swells.

I have loved music my whole life. I started playing guitar when I was 16. I’ve made a lot of music and met a lot of cool people over the years but @scottlester_ and I have been trying to keep our childhood dreams alive, together, for the last 12 years. It isn’t always easy. It isn’t always fun. Just keep on dreaming even if it breaks your heart. Also, look at the love we have for each other. It’s written all over our faces.
