Space and time....

Turning 40 changed the way I move.

I’ve always been a relationship-oriented person. My longest relationship lasted eight years, so commitment has never been something I’ve been afraid of. But after that chapter ended, I had to learn who I was outside of it.

Now, everything is intentional.

Who I talk to.
Who I date.
Who I give my time and energy to.
Who has access to me.

I’m no longer interested in connections that don’t have direction. I’m not dating for attention, entertainment, or to pass the time. I’m dating with purpose.

Maybe it’s age. Maybe it’s growth. Maybe it’s both.

Either way, I finally understand that protecting your peace isn’t closing yourself off. It’s making sure the people you let in deserve to be there.

Anyone else become more intentional with dating after 40? Or did it happen even earlier? 👇🏾 #Over40 #DatingOver40 #IntentionalDating #Libra #BlackCreator RelationshipTalk DatingLife HealingJourney SelfGrowth TikTokCreator

So here we are with Day. for after seeing the Michael will be for the first. But let me just add that I’m just officially retarded because I saw it again yesterday. Don’t judge me. And I bought my Michael shirt off at tiktok shop. But the vibe continues and it’s never gonna stop. #michaeljackson #jaafarjackson #michael

Everybody Heard, Nobody Here.
There’s a different kind of release that happens when you put your feelings on paper and then hear them come to life. Every word, every pause, every emotion in this piece is real, it’s mine. Writing has been a quiet form of survival for me, something I didn’t realize was easing stress that had been sitting heavy on my mental health.
A friend recently named something I hadn’t yet, depression, and it stopped me in my tracks. I thought I was protecting my peace, not isolating. I had my first therapy session yesterday and while it cracked open a lot, it was necessary.
This started as a poem and became a song. Written by me, with AI assisting the voice. The technology doesn’t take away from the truth of it, the words and feelings are still mine. I hope it lands with you the way it landed with me.

😂😂😂 Living in my obesity 😂😂😂 Prepared to be sick of me!
Y’all talk about my weight more than I do, so I figured I’d give you something real to talk about. Wrapped her up and still stepping like I own the room. Because I do. 😌

Say what you want, I’m living, I’m confident, and I’m not hiding a damn thing.

Stay pressed. I’ll stay wrapped. 💁🏾‍♂️✨ #BodyWrappedNotSilenced #ObeseButUnbothered #PreparedToBeSickOfMe
