There’s something so special about being welcomed into a rodeo community and getting to experience the western way of life alongside the people who make it all happen. A huge thank you to Tina, the Santa Barbara Rodeo Committee, @flyingurodeo , and Bill with Noozhawk for your support and for allowing me to be part of such a special rodeo. A special shoutout to the @charroontheroad_tjgarcilazo family for always going above and beyond to make me feel like part of the team, and to Macy for being the best sidekick! This weekend was one for the books.

What started with designing the VIP lounge at the Santa Barbara Rodeo quickly turned into so much more. From creating floral installations that welcomed guests into the space, to stepping behind the scenes with the production team, handing out flags to the rodeo queens, and helping wherever I was needed, I had the opportunity to wear a lot of different hats and I loved every second of it.

One of my favorite parts of this industry is that no two events are ever the same. Sometimes I’m designing florals, sometimes I’m styling spaces, and sometimes I’m right in the middle of the action helping bring an event to life. It’s those behind-the-scenes moments that remind me why I love what I do.I also couldn’t have asked for a better partner in crime than my best friend, Heather, who was right there beside me every step of the way. From early mornings to the final wrap-up, we tackled every challenge together, shared plenty of laughs, and made memories I’ll never forget. Having someone you trust in the middle of the chaos makes all the difference.

A huge thank you to the entire Santa Barbara Rodeo team for trusting me to be part of such an incredible weekend. Thank you to the producers, crew, volunteers, contestants, queens, and everyone who worked tirelessly to make this event such a success. It was an honor to play even a small role in creating an unforgettable experience.

Here’s to beautiful flowers, dusty boots, fast horses, rank broncs, big bulls, and weekends I’ll never forget. 🤎🌾

Wildflower West is about so much more than flowers—it’s about creating experiences, building partnerships, and showing up wherever I’m needed to help bring a vision to life.
