🐾 Meeko here! Hi! 🐾 I got a very impawtant letter from Scout. Dad said “oh boy, that letter came a long way across the ocean.”

🩷Scout is a nice doggie, and one of my brother’s bestest friends. Scout said I should listen to my pawrents when they talk about my big brother. I can’t wait to learn more about my big brother, Sprocky.

🩷Scout got me a silly lolli and a crinkle el-e-font to welcome me to my new family. I love to do gator rolls with the el-e-font. Crinkle crinkle. I love to bite the lolli stick part and squeak the lolli. Squeak squeak! But I can’t decide which I like best. I like them both. They are both my favorite toys ever!

🩷Thank you Scout @scoutnotsplat ! I love you! And I love that you are my friend too. Will you come over and play with me now?

Awww our furry besties ☺️🐾🐾
Well, I would never have guessed that I would absolutely fall in love with painting custom pet portraits! Thank you to my lovely friends who kept nagging me (yes, you know who you are!)

So, let me explain the process - as we all know both dogs are not the best portrait sitters 😂 I tend to work from photographs which I’m very happy to support you in choosing (as I know most of you dog lovers have millions 😁). I love seeing videos if you have some but what I need the most is a good old chat about your dog’s personality and character as well as what you mean/meant to them. I think capturing personality and connection with you is what matters to me so much in a dog portrait. The portrait is painted on a stretched cotton canvas using traditional techniques and measures 8x12in.

Want to know more? Got questions, however small? Comment ‘best friend’ and I’ll send more info over or ask below ⬇️

With special thanks to our models: Buddy, Ernie, Kato, Mabel, Nellie, Scout and Zara 🐾🐾

So I am having a well earned cuppa in the garden having just done some preliminary sketches a most wonderful canine, an Alaskan Malamute named Kato. Kato is no longer with us and he had been a very brave boy for a long time. His family miss him dearly and commissioned a portrait of him. It is an honour to be asked - I’ll do my utmost to do him justice. 🐾

I have prepped the canvas and painting commences tomorrow, so watch this space.
