Today’s Addiction is: @screamingbeans , Amsterdam 🇳🇱

✨ HIGHLIGHTS

🏡 A spacious café in Amsterdam with a cosy, intimate and lively atmosphere. The interior has several distinct areas, including an upper floor, plus a large outdoor terrace.

📚 A huge wooden table anchors the main space, surrounded by people working, reading or enjoying their coffee. Two spots are reserved for chess, while elevated cushioned seats add a cosy touch. There’s good music throughout, alongside quieter corners for concentrating or unwinding.

☕️ The coffee menu covers several preparations. The Ethiopian natural cortado was tasty, while the refreshing iced matcha paired perfectly with a matcha cookie.

🛠 TO IMPROVE

☕️ A manual pourover option would be a welcome addition for filter coffee enthusiasts.

Some things I’ve loved in the last 2 weeks of running back to back means that I want to be more meaningful about the words I put to paper and where I choose to eat as well as the company keep!

☕ Screaming Beans Coffee Roasters

Tucked into Amsterdam's Nine Streets. The space is intimate and full of character. A place where mornings start early, conversations overlap, and regulars rarely need to order twice.

▪️chp 9, vol 2▪️a lesson from September ✨ I lost myself somewhere somehow over the year. But I've learned to see it was just one season of my life, & seasons will inevitably come just as they will inevitably go. And just as the crisp October air creeps back in, I can feel the chaotic energy of this summer shift into a smoother, more settled autumn. I've been able to say a grateful goodbye to that careful, distrusting, vigilant girl of before - after all, she got me thru the biggest transition period of my life thus far. But I'm ready to usher in Self again. A capable, adaptable, force of a woman.

In January, I remember I chose "smooth" as my ideal feeling for 2026. So I may be about 10 months late 😅 but damn, I got there 🍂

Part 2/4 Amsterdam matcha diaries 🇳🇱
Bad day gone good

Started off by getting a matcha from @screamingbeans
No ice because I was coming down with a cold, they had already informed me that the drink wouldn’t be completely full, which I was okay with.
However, they charged me extra for no ice and for the matcha to be this shade of green 😭🍵🫠 and they charge extra for more matcha 🙅🏽‍♀️ not in my return list

Luckily, the day got better when I went and had cookies from @vanstapele (my new fave obsession) 🍪
