Returning I haven't been on this account since 2015 but I want to do something with it so how about a book club, a movie review page or advice column?

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Ari Aster's MIDSOMMAR endures in my mind for the deep well of anguish that awaits beneath a placid surface. The entire film presents like water just under the boiling point. It just sticks with you.

In one of my favorite essays, on behalf of @screen.queens, raw emotion and feminine community is at the center of my reflections on MIDSOMMAR.

You can find it in my highlights!

I got to write two pieces on Barbenheimer this weekend! One is a fun and funky scene report on everything that happened while we were at Village East on Friday (my first piece in Screen Queens!), and the other is a review of Oppenheimer on its own✨ check them both out in my writing 2 highlight or thru my linkree💋

SOPHIE JONES is now on @showtime.
When I was 16 I’d sneak into the basement to watch sad, sexy movies on Showtime. Maybe today there’s a 16-year-old out there that’ll do the same and find @sophiejonesmovie ❤️‍🔥

✨ “It is so fortifying to see a film that not only focuses on a middle-aged female protagonist, but one that prioritizes a woman’s career ambitions just as much as her romantic life. before/during/after an affecting meditation on broken romantic relationships that advocates the importance of doing what you love and learning to thrive independently. Wielding a poignant time structure that moves like a carousel between joy and sorrow, Steeves’s triumphant comedic drama is pure delight.” - Caroline Madden, Screen Queens
