to witness myself grow into the woman I am becoming is such a beautiful gift.

every challenge is an opportunity for growth; a chance to see what is possible when I push past fear.

every time I push myself out of my comfort zone, I learn something about myself and see a version of me that I didn’t think was possible.

I’m learning that it’s ok not to know, it’s ok to look stupid, and it’s ok to trust the process and give myself grace.

life is so much fun when I stop focusing on perfection, stop taking myself so seriously, stop fixating on the results and start enjoying being present, passionate and authentically me.

Wherever you go, there you are.

It’s about damn time I talked about my trip to Costa Rica. This trip reminded me that no matter where I go, there I am.

I can change my environment, but I’m always going to be stuck with myself at the end of the day.

I’m not perfect - I’m learning and growing and evolving every day.

And while I have a vision for my future and where I want to go, it doesn’t mean that I’m not valuable just as I am today.

I get to love myself despite not being where I want to be. I get to fall in love with myself through every phase of my evolution.

I matter regardless of where I am in life, simply because I exist.

Now I get to show up like it.

The idea that SWAT and 20-squad are a family is in the DNA of this show, so it makes sense that the past 4+ years I’ve spent with these writers and this cast/crew have cemented them in my life as chosen family. The first photo was taken on the Sony lot the day I found out I was going to be the showrunner’s assistant. I was SO excited (and truthfully really scared too). This job brought so much GOOD into my life: New lifelong friends, new confidence in myself and my abilities, and so many firsts…My first time pitching in a writers room, my first scripts as a TV writer, my first time shadowing a director, my first strike, and then my WGA card! Haaaaay!! I’m so grateful for the time, and for the support I received on this show.
Twenty photos can’t possibly capture spending every day with these people for the last 4 years, but damn does it feel nice that that’s the case. Until we meet again SWAT fam. Stay liquid, fill the gaps ❤️
