STRIDE WITH PRIDE for @sheltercharity!

Join us at our new event, here to raise awareness, funds and bring together community.

Stride with Pride is a sponsored daytime walk mapping three cities across the UK, pinpointing queer cultural landmarks in Manchester, Birmingham and London. The event will align with World Homelessness Day on the 10th of October, an international day dedicated to raising awareness and collaborative action to address and prevent homelessness.

The event will raise awareness of the LGBTQ+ community’s unique experiences of homelessness and the housing emergency, celebrate community, and generate vital funds for Shelter. It is accessible, family-friendly, and built for maximum participation.

@dykeswhohikeshrop are already going to be taking part in the Birmingham event, along with other members of the local community. It will take in landmarks around Birmingham’s Gay Village, and highlight that homelessness is something suffered disproportionately by this community throughout the whole year.

Sign-up is £5pp, and there is a fundraising target of £75pp – but we actively encourage groups, societies or businesses to have one central fundraising page, to make it easier for everyone!

If you would like to take part, please see the link in our bio.
