The magic continues with every swim. 🧜‍♀️✨

Merfolk Dive 74 returned to the water for their guided practice session, building more confidence, improving their skills, and feeling more at home in their tails. 🧜🏻‍♀️

Because your first swim is only the beginning. 💙

Keep swimming, keep learning, and keep growing into your tail, mermaids!

Some marine animals possess certain proteins and pigments that capture ultraviolet light and re-emit it as flourescence. This is not the same as bioluminescence which does not rely on an external light source, so specialized lights are needed to see it.

I did this on a night dive to keep ambient light to a minimum. In the sandy muck bottom of Secret Bay in Anilao, the vivid glow stands out like a neon sign in a desert, making it quite easy to find subjects to work with.

Shout out to my buddies - @saltydudescuba, @jinopedro, and special thanks to @carlosdominguez01 for the BTS shot.

Filmed with a Sony Alpha 1 in @seacam_official housing with @subnoxdive SUB5KW lights.

📍Mantigue Islet, Camiguin

Mantigue is a beautiful combination of pristine coral gardens, abundant marine life, turtles and dramatic underwater topography, making it one of the signature diving experiences of Camiguin.

From doubts to having fun, one mermaid swim at a time. 🧜‍♀️✨💙

They may have started the session with a few hesitations, but little by little, the nerves faded and the fun began.

Sometimes, you just need to take that first brave step.

Then suddenly, you’re swimming in a mermaid tail, laughing underwater, and enjoying the magic you once weren’t sure you could do. 🌊

Thank you, TRY MERMAID Wave 72, for trusting us and allowing yourselves to simply learn, play, and have fun. ✨️💙

What if the experience you’re doubting becomes one of your favorite memories?

A story of evolution. 🌌✨

SB19’s “I WANT YOU” — The Making Film followed the group as they took a bold step into a new sound, navigating the creative risks and realities behind their first R&B release.

This intimate look at the process behind the music earned its spot as an Official Selection at the San Diego Filipino Film Festival (2023), marking its U.S. premiere.

Documenting the raw energy, technical craft, and creative collaboration of this era was an incredible journey for our team. Grateful for the global recognition and proud of everyone who brought this vision to life. 🎞️

Practice makes progress. 🧜‍♀️✨

Merfolk Dive Wave 71 returned for their Guided Practice Session with more confidence, better control, and smoother movement in the water.

The best part? They could feel the improvement themselves. 💙

This is why our Try Mermaid experience includes two sessions: an Introduction to Mermaid Swimming and a Guided Practice Session. Because sometimes, the magic truly begins when you return to the water. ✨
