And they are off....just like that a piece of my heart is gone for 10 days as the boys set out on their Michigan adventure! I’m so excited for them and all the fun they will have and also all the growing that will happen when they are away from home.
It’s not easy, but for our boys and our family I know it’s right for each one of them.
I also know it’s good for me❤️ That’s right, for 10 days I’m on my own, no kids to run around after and for a big part of it no husband either! Just me, myself and I. Lots of my own exploring to do in SO many ways..more to come on that one. So much of my identity is Mom and Wife but for the next few days I’m excited to tap back into My own identity, just me. I’m looking forward to taking some solo hikes on my favorite trails, doing some long overdue journaling and reading. Planning out some creative and exciting collaborations for later this fall and just being still✨✨ Of course I will miss my boys SO much but I’m also looking forward to this time to just being ME. As my dad said we all need a break from mom and wife roll once in a while and I’m beyond grateful for my MIL who gifted me this incredible gift of TIME.
In my opinion we are all at our own camp for a week!! Now tell me, what would you do for a day, week, hour of YOU time? How would you gift yourself some of the self care you deserve? I would love to hear 🌟💫

Sibling Romp! Our humans connected and arranged for us to meet again! The last time we were together was that weekend of Gotcha Day, and 11 weeks after - here we are reunited even for just a short period of time! So great to play with my sibs @willis_the_bernedoodle @harley_the_bernedoodle and Molly (who doesn’t have an IG account yet 😜) We hope to do this again and again! .
