Can we stop making filler the villain? 🖤

Hyaluronic acid fillers and biostimulators aren’t interchangeable, and they’re certainly not one-size-fits-all.

Every product has unique properties, indications, and limitations. Understanding rheology, how a filler behaves under different forces, is part of knowing which product belongs where, how much to use, and whether it’s appropriate for you in the first place.

And anatomy? Nonnegotiable.

We’re injecting into tissue planes we cannot directly see. That requires extensive anatomical knowledge, an understanding of vascular pathways, proper technique, and the ability to recognize and manage complications. How I unchopped myself: a case study in realizing that the answer wasn’t always more Dysport.

I started walking 30 minutes a day. Cut back on alcohol. Started lifting 3–4x a week and added Lagree to get my core together. Got serious about hydration and stopped stripping my skin. Invested in collagen stimulation with Sculptra.

Basically, I stopped expecting aesthetic treatments to compensate for lifestyle choices I wasn’t willing to change. Although a martini could heal me from time to time.

As an injector, I love what Botox, filler, lasers, and collagen stimulators can do. But looking your best isn’t about constantly adding more. It’s about knowing what to treat, what to maintain, and when to leave your face alone.

The goal was never to look like you get work done. It’s to look like yourself on a really, really good day.

just a girl in her 20s trying to juggle it all 🫶🏻

In honor of ED Nurse Week, here’s a little glimpse into my life outside of the emergency department!

If you’re new here, I’m an ER nurse, cycle instructor @myvibecity , and currently expanding my career in aesthetic nursing. Between working night shifts, teaching classes, spending my days off learning in the clinic, and trying to squeeze in a little personal life somewhere in between, there’s never really a dull moment.

I always get asked how I manage to do it all, and truthfully, some days I don’t! I’m still learning how to balance it all, give myself grace, and make time for the things that matter most.

Life lately has been busy, a little chaotic, but such a blessing. Just a reminder that it’s okay to have a lot of dreams and still be figuring it all out!
