There is physiology behind the flame. REAL science. 🔥🔬

Chinese style fire cupping creates negative pressure, lifting the skin & superficial soft tissue. Research has measured that tissue displacement and changes in local skin blood flow. Pressure, placement & duration matter. 👈

Clinical studies have reported short term reductions in neck & lower back pain, alongside changes in flexibility in some presentations. Emerging research has also examined post exercise autonomic recovery in athletes. 👈

The evidence is developing! Results do vary and benefits beyond sham cupping are not consistently established YET. Most studies examine dry cupping broadly, rather than fire cupping specifically.

At Apex, I assess the individual person, their training demand & tissue response before deciding where cupping belongs in their care. Comprehensive care only. 🫵

I integrate it with my Soft Tissue Recovery Work™, with the primary goal of reducing reducing pain & tension creating enhanced performance for the demands of training.

12+ years of experience.
Individual assessment.
Intentional recovery. 🫵

HEAVY IRON. LOOSE THREADS. ⚡

Different fits. Same work.

Good people in your corner make the grind that much better. Big respect to my trainer @thejballer32 for always pushing me to another level. 🤝

My first month in New York, 2011 — I had my pockets slit open with a box cutter and all my things stolen from said pockets (on the jeans I was wearing on my body) — stay safe out there folks‼️

🚨True story — and then there was an article in the Metro paper about the series of “dying” crooks in NYC who would do this — and how it is becoming a dying breed bc cell phones were now being used as ‘expensive computers’ like the iPhone (which just came out). Now popular, and a distraction, the NYC bad boys just started snatching them out of hands…and still happens all the time

BIG gratitude for the genetically blessed thicc foundations. 💪

Let’s be raw & vulnerable:

This year I’ve gone from 225 lbs → 190 lbs post bodybuilding prep to being injured and losing 6 months of structured training, nutrition, supplements and proper recovery.

The significant atrophy in my legs now that took me YEARS to construct.. gives me THE most body dysmorphia I’ve ever experienced. Daily battles with the man in the mirror take their toll. You feel like you’ve gone from hero to zero. 💀

My entire body has lost a lot of not just definition but size & strength too. The extreme pain, weakness and loss of neuromuscular connection has been absolutely devastating. 💔

I moved from rehab to recovery protocols this year and this October I’ll be transitioning into rebuilding & refining protocols. A comprehensive 90 day programme of my own coaching. My Winter Arc protocol. 🐺

This will be the decade marker since my accident and the first complication I’ve experienced since its healing. A secondary comeback. ♿️✌️

This has been a career changing experience for me. I’m blessed for the hardship and grateful for the opportunity to come back and rebuild again. Thank God & my Ancestors. 🙏🧬

I’d like this journey to remind clients, fellow coaches & athletes that no matter the setback, devoting your life to health & fitness grants opportunities for a comeback. Often times, EVEN BETTER!

Injury prevention, comebacks & transformations are defined by the foundations we give our mind & bodies consistently over time.

Commitment, discipline & repetition. ☘︎

Train now so that you can conquer life now & later. A lifestyle is only as successful as the body living it. Health is wealth. 🫵

Stay tuned my friends. ⏳

Ground zero looks like this:

As an athlete, 2 months without an upper body session, 4 months without training back and 6 months without training legs is absolutely devastating. It takes such a heavy toll on the body & mind.

The comeback from an injury feels like starting from the foundations again. Often, it is. That’s real. Own it.

Perception is reality. An opportunity created from hardship offers GROWTH.
Practice gratitude. 🙏

This next week is about priming my body to shift from rehab into recovery & rebuild. 💪

October 1st begins my 90 day Winter Arc. ⏳

I’ll establish my baseline, then share the data and the journey as I rebuild size, strength and dense, functional tissue. 📊

Your body can come back from anything if the mind genuinely believes it.
I’m living proof of that. ♿️❤️‍🔥

Trust the process, Always. ☘︎
