✨#MeetHimMondays : Away from Home

…it’s been almost seven days since I left home, & now I have processed all the good to share!

PVHC2K26 is finally over, but the goodness is still here!

During my time on the yard, I spent so much time trying to find myself, learning my sexuality, wanting to be Greek, needing approval, & just wanting love that I didn’t know how to ask for.

Well; years later, I got it all! Lately, Homecoming has been the exact reminder & confirmation! There were so many people walking up to me saying, “I’m so proud of you,” “You’re living in your truth,” “Keep up the good work,” & I even got a lot of, “I love the playlist.”

The past two Homecomings were stark reminders & reclamations of all the love & fellowship that I could not see, feel, or concentrate on in undergrad. There’s so much of me that was seeking on the yard, & so much of me that I found after undergrad!

All the love I never felt or was missing, I got it this year! To everyone who hugged, flicked it up, followed, affirmed & confirmed—I THANK YOU!

Home is not only where my 💛 is, it’s where part of my identity is formed as well. Thank you, Panthers. Thank you, Prairie View A&M University!

As a woman of many words, I have none left. Our reunion weekend healed so many parts of me that words would fail me if I tried to explain it.
