How I stay on track while traveling—without tracking, stressing, or starting over:

SHIFT YOUR EXPECTATIONS 💭 a normal Tuesday may not look the same as a summer Saturday or a week on vacation… and that’s okay. It SHOULDN’T!!

Travel used to feel like a threat to my progress.

Now I see it as a chance to practice flexibility—and lean into the habits that actually move the needle long-term. Choose 2-3 habits you CAN do! You’ll feel better mentally + physically.

⬇️ Here’s what I focus on (and why it works):

💦 Hydration with intention

Dehydration mimics hunger, impacts energy, and stresses the body. I aim for 30 oz of water first thing in the morning + get a gallon in daily on vacation.

🏃‍♀️ Movement that regulates + encourages, not burns

A 30 min walk, stretching, hotel gym lifts, running and using that to explore a new city—something to put myself first, get some dopamine + endorphins, and move my body.

🥗 Protein rich meals, not perfect meals

Rather than “eating clean” and trying to be perfect on vacation— I aim for 2 out of 3 meals to include a protein source + fiber (fruit, veggies, etc) and quality. And then if I want it, I’ll have a fun meal- whether it’s a dessert, a burger, or pizza. This keeps my blood sugar stable and my cravings low—without restriction.

🍷 Alcohol with discernment

Alcohol isn’t “bad.” But I’ve learned to ask: Do I want this or am I just doing it because everyone else is? I skip alcohol unless I genuinely want a drink (not just to fit in).

Pick 2–3 habits you can execute anywhere. When you shift the goal from “perfect” to “practical,” you build confidence, not restriction.

Save this for your next trip ❤️

Small actions > all-or-nothing.
