54 years. A gift. And all it has given me. A lot of life. A lot of lessons. Some of which I wish I never had to learn. Some of which still make me smile. But in all, these years have made me who I am. Maybe with a bit too much passion. Maybe with a bit too much “let’s cram one more thing into the day.” Maybe with a bit too much optimism that anything is doable. Maybe with a bit too much fight for the underdog. And maybe with a bit too much of my heart… and not enough coffee. ☕️ Eight years ago, I put the words LIVE FULLY on my ribs. It was a reminder to myself to say yes more. To choose life instead of fear. To stop waiting for the “right” time and actually live the life in front of me. This year, I added two words: LOVE INTENTIONALLY. Because I’ve learned it isn’t enough to simply move through life saying I love you. It’s about choosing love. Choosing it in the way I speak. In the way I show up. In the way I listen. In the way I forgive. In the way I reach for someone when it would be easier to pull away. In the way I keep my heart open through all of what life brings. And then there’s a new symbol on my wrist—my business logo. So every time I reach out my hand to embrace someone… every time I extend my hand into the world to create, help, connect, or take action… I’m reminded: I get to choose how I show up. To LIVE FULLY. To LOVE INTENTIONALLY. Not perfectly. Not fearlessly. Not without getting hurt. But intentionally. Because maybe that’s what 54 has given me most of all: The wisdom to know that life isn’t about controlling what happens. It’s about deciding how I want to meet it. So here I am. 54. Still becoming. Still learning. Still choosing. Still saying yes. And this year, I’m choosing not only to live fully—on purpose— but to love intentionally. 🤍 Thank you @sdbarnes for creating the space for this to happen and being in this space with me. 🥰 #54 #LiveFully #LoveIntentionally #BirthdayReflection #ChooseLove LiveFullyOnPurpose

Prayers today for strength and guidance as we learn more and have tough discussions in caring for Bill’s mother. But mostly prayers of gratitude to and for some of the strongest women I know who never give up, can stand firmly on two feet, and know how to fight. #family Here’s to Day 22 of ICU, with an impromptu stay in Annapolis at one of the best B&B’s you could ask for. #neicesboys #Bill’sSisters #OnlySon #Familyofnurses #delaneystrong #fightingirish #fortheloveoffamily #guidance #Strength #livecompassionately
