🌧️ SAN DIEGO, ARE YOU READY? 🌀 Weather report brought to you by @sdccu guest meteorologists @geenathelatina & @angie.domino_ 😂😂😂

If Tropical Storm Rachel brings heavy rain and strong winds, here’s what homeowners and residents should do NOW:

🏠 Protect your home

- Clear gutters, storm drains, and yard drains.
- Secure patio furniture, trash cans, umbrellas, and loose outdoor items.
- Check for roof leaks and seal gaps around windows if needed.
- Move valuables off garage floors and out of flood-prone areas.
- Park away from trees and areas that collect water.

🚨 Stock up before stores get packed

- 💧 Drinking water and nonperishable food for several days.
- 🔦 Flashlights, batteries, and charged power banks.
- 💊 Medications, first-aid supplies, and pet essentials.
- ⛽ Keep your vehicle fueled and your emergency contacts handy.

⚠️ REAL-WORLD SAFETY TIPS

- Never drive through floodwater—even if it looks shallow.
- Stay away from canyons, washes, and flooded roads.
- Keep generators outdoors, far from windows and doors, to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Prepare for power outages and possible road closures.
- Follow official weather alerts and evacuation orders.

📍 San Diego tip: Check “weather.gov/sandiego” (https://www.weather.gov/sandiego) and “Ready San Diego” (https://www.readysandiego.org/) for local alerts, flood risks, and emergency updates.
